Cranberry and tart cherry with smoke, peppery spice and pronounced minerality. Long finish to extend the fantastic experience. This wine should be a nice complement with a wide variety of foods including seafood. — 7 months ago
Blend of mostly Tempranillo with about equal amounts of Garnacho, Graciano and Manzuelo, deep Ruby with a graceful bouquet of berry fruits, cigar box spice with fresh earthy tones, a traditional Rioja, still reticent. On the silky smooth palate, elegant with layers of flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, dark fruit, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine soft tannins and a clean structure ending with a nice long chalky earthy character. Delicious! — 9 months ago
Fantastic value. Well balanced acidity, juiciness, and just dry enough. — 5 years ago
Dark berries and a hint of orange peel, with a little graphite and stone. Medium acidity and tannins. Very good value, which is typical of the wines I’ve had from this producer. — 8 years ago
This really is Callia Alta Malbec. Smooth and fruity. — 9 years ago
This wine is excellente! Deep silky dark fruit. This is a great sipping wine, yet it will sing with a thick steak or juicy grilled pork chop. This is a 2007, so good luck finding one. — 10 years ago
Strong alcohol on the nose also currants. Cherries and blackberries, a bit of pepper and spice. Lighter and fruitier. — 11 years ago

Argentinian Cab. Fruit forward with a bit of oak. — 5 months ago
Splash decanted directly before service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours out of red Solo cups. The 1981 Gran Reserva Blanco pours, a golden color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of Khalas dates, dried apricot, black lemon, almonds, toasted coconut and marshmallow. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is waxy. A cerebral wine and just lovely stuff. Well stored bottles have a long life yet left ahead. Drink now with patience and plenty of air and through 2051. — 7 months ago
Medium ruby , medium wide terracotta , garnet rim . Touches of leather , earthy , caramel coated spiced cherry , vanilla . Elegant on the palate , notes of leather , cherry , black tea , vanilla spice . Fresh acidity , fine tannins , balanced acidity. This has an earthy mineral undertone with good length . This is showing well now and will continue well over the next 10 years or so. — 10 months ago
This is my first experience with this wine. The ruby rim and long legs announce a great wine. And the promise is delivered. I’m greeted with a beautiful bouquet and as soon as I taste it, I decide I have a new favorite wine. Red fruit, sandalwood and a dash of peppermint just to remind you that it can be spring all year. — 7 years ago

Very nice and complete Cabernet from Argentina. I feel it rates 91+ for the color and deep red fruit flavors and long finish . Not California Cabernet with lower ABV but European style with complexity and soft tannins. Super deal at $15!!!! Drink in the near term for best enjoyment. — 8 years ago
Birthday wine with lamb chops, garlic mashed potatoes, and creamed peas and onions. Perfect compliment. — 11 years ago
