Very nice white burg, especially for the price. Good example of the aligote grape's potential when done right. Mouth filling with waves of flavor, quite precise, excellent acid and minerality. — 9 years ago
More like Anjou than Aligote. Nutty & aldyhyde in a nice way. — 10 years ago
This is just fantastic. What a great Aligote, this is everything I look for in a white wine. Laser focused acidity and perfect balance. Wow at the price point. — 10 years ago
2013 - gosh I love aligote 😍 — 11 years ago
Not to be confused with traditional French Aligote - smooth wooded and round but focused still. — 11 years ago
Old vine aligote. Luscious but with enough acidity to hold it all together — 12 years ago
Comes off kinda sweet...slighty butter n honey. Some lemon. — 8 years ago
Floral perfume. Nice that it doesn’t have much citrus. Wet wood? Says liz. Holds up to meat and pasta wonderfully. — 9 years ago
Not the best for the price, but a good wine regardless. Quite shy on the nose, showing mostly malo and oak characters - reckon there's probably more new oak this year. Some floral features, palate delivers expectedly riper fruit characters and a very mineral finish. Balanced, but pricey for what it is. Go for the 15' Aligote instead! 😉 — 9 years ago
The apple here reminded me of belluard's grignets. I also think I like de moors aligote more than roulots — 11 years ago
77% chardonnay 23% aligote — 12 years ago
Mag of the oldest aligote vines in the world. From magnum — 12 years ago
For all intents and purposes, this may just be the ceiling of greatness for Aligote. With a bit of age, there is no loss of freshness or energy, there is depth of aroma and flavor and plenty of oh so fine reduction and the finish goes on. What a beautiful wine tonight. — 8 years ago
Wow this is really impressive. At the perfect point of gentle emerging oxidation. Super overperforming. Buy and drink! Fav Aligote so far — 8 years ago
Killer late harvest Aligote, delicious RS. — 9 years ago
Wow this is good Aligote — 10 years ago
Young and steely. Blue cheese. Yet to dislike an aligote. — 11 years ago
brilliant expression from aligote crazy old vines with great minerality, aromatic complexity, drinkability over all; no way people keep underestimating this variety. — 12 years ago

The wallflower. Aligote is so underappreciated here. It's tart, so Americans don't like it. It's hard to pronounce, so Americans don't order it. It's not all that complex. But, it's an honest wine. And, if you need a high acid wine to go with a lemony meal, it's a great option. — 12 years ago
Bob McDonald

Made from the other White Burgundy grape, Aligote. Made by probably the most famous name in Burgundy, Aubert de Villaine and his American born wife, Pamela. Aubert is the wine director and proprietor of the Domaine de la Romanee Conti. This is his own personal project. The wine itself:- Mid lemon in colour. Herbs, citrus and a touch of aniseed on the nose. The palate is very citric and mineral with a noticeable saline note. More palate weight than it had a few years ago. Medium minus Acid. Drinking well now and no need to cellar any further. Great winemaking at an affordable price. — 6 years ago
