Aligote is a shamefully under-rated variety, been playing with it a little bit in Napa. It is a very structured (as in tannic) variety, which contributes to the food pairing abilities of this grape. This wine really shows that structure, with gorgeous apple and pear aromas and cleansing acidity. Delicious.

Very good, and it deserved more contemplation than I gave it. It really blossomed with the trout.

brilliant expression from aligote crazy old vines with great minerality, aromatic complexity, drinkability over all; no way people keep underestimating this variety.

Another great one from de Moor! Lemon pith, sea spray, yellow plum. I can't imagine an aligote I'd rather drink
