Interestingly smoky on the nose. Chewy at first sip as if strained through leather. Dark berry mid pallet with bark and spice finish. Humorous as some share a forest floor taste which I guess would depend on which forest. The wine is good and would go great with saucy pastas. Two thumbs up. Opened at least an hour prior to service. The 2010 pours a burnished gold color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe apricots, candied yams, wet straw, rubber eraser, and all of the flowers. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. There’s a whole lotta soul here and it’s showing really well! Drink now through 2030+ — 2 months ago

Hubby had this one without me (!!). A cheap Italian blend for $13 but its quite delicious and complex. Interesting cider donut spice with cocoa and vanilla but also some basil and nutmeg. It’s a wild ride. Jealous that I missed it. — a month ago
