Great summer wine and so inexpensive! — 4 months ago
Such rustic and funky wine! Love it. Pale color, forest floor, red fruits, and foxy. Good acidity and saline taste, medium length. Decant it at least an hour. — 3 years ago

: "This atypical and attention grabbing 2021 Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero has the signature aroma and flavor intensity from the broodingly deep, blue and blackberry fruit for which that region is famous.
Moreover, with three months skin maceration, plus another year of aging before bottling, what differentiates this wild and energetic Tempranillo from others IS the mind bending fact that it is NOT varnished with the usual layer of oak. Zero oak aging! Imagine that …. if you can.
The balanced, medium/full body has an interesting, mouth filling tension between the high-toned, juicy acidity, modest tannins and extravagant fruit at the long satisfying finish. Worth a peek if you can find it." — 2 months ago
1 hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). A striking still dark magenta color with a little bricking. On the nose: Captivating savory notes of stewed dark fruit, mushroom, worn leather, charcoal, stewed meat, and touch of cinnamon. Taste: powerful, bold, structured wine with dark plum, dark chocolate, green bell pepper, earth, and a dusty, baking spice-cedar long finish with maybe a touch of heat and just slightly grippy tannins YUM! Drinking well with time to go. — 5 months ago

Roller coaster wine. This one was really nice. — 3 years ago
Much improved from the prior bottle of this vintage. There is significant fine sediment and taking more care in separating in the decant made for a world of difference. Decanted and enjoyed over 4+ hours. Was as vibrant and heady at the end as it was after 45 minutes. Deep structure and well balanced. Fruit was rippling. Just fantastic. — 2 months ago
Ripe blackberry and black cherry, powerful without being heavy on the palate, tart black cherry, a little black pepper bite, and lingering gravelly tannins.

I enjoyed this.
Decanted about 1.5 hours.
At first opening - the aroma was quite ripe and fruity.
The wine became denser and showed more savory flavors as it aired out.
Paired with A5 wagyu strip steak pan fried and sliced.
Very good for an off vintage — 15 days ago
