Q is for Quinquina. Smells like a fortified wine with slight currant aromas, a good amount of acid gets the tongue tingling, the raisin and currant aromas come through the flavors but the body is light compared to a sherry or tawny port. Z is for Zweigelt. Deep fruit aromas... plums and blackberries. Tart fruit acidity, a rounder body than expected, and some black peppery tannins that linger with the tart fruit tingle. Very balanced in the end with a long finish. #atoz2021 — 2 years ago

X is for Xinomavro. Intense fruit-forward aromas of plums and red cherry, with underlying herbal notes of anise. Light body, bright acidity and drying tannins, but they aren't as intense as I expected with all of the comparisons to Nebbiolo. The red cherry comes through in the tart acid, with some herbal and tobacco notes. #atoz2021 — 2 years ago
