Ruby with red cherry aromas. On the bud, there is a slight tartness with a medium finish. — 4 months ago
Y’quem two days in a row? Pinch me! Turpentine/French basement comes across the nose. A flavor punch to the palate, a mouthful of fruit and a looong finish - stewed apricot, peaches, apple. A hint of woodsiness (cypress?) and a sweet creaminess like crème caramel. Amazing wine that frankly overshadowed the apple tart tatin dessert pairing. — 9 months ago
Only red we had paired w Basque tapas & what a pairing. It’s a blend from Outside Madrid- syrah, garnacha, carinena & morenillo , it all hangs together in a loose, fresh style. Not too far removed from a Cru Beaujo. Dark red fruits, surprisingly long & a bit of grip. A ‘ villages level’ from the Spanish version of the Gang of Four. An easy wine easy to like. — 3 years ago
Wow!! For sure one of the best white wines I’ve ever had. I realllllly love the aromatics on this - some smokiness, herbs, minerals with lemon. Complex, subtle, layered. The flavors are very refined. Very mineral, perfect acidity. Restrained, elegant fruit, mostly citrus with notes of pecan, popcorn? and fresh greens. Luxurious finish. So balanced! I just learned that Gutedel is another name for Chasselas, which is a favorite grape of mine for Swiss whites. But this is on another level. I’m going to listen to @Lyle Fass and patiently age my other 2 bottles. Just had to try one now :) — a month ago

Veramente un bel vino. 94-96.
Puro ed espressivo. Intenso ed elegante.
La miglior maturità riscontrata in tutti i vini assaggiati fin’ora.
Blend 54 CS 43 M 4 PVerdot 1 CF.
Al naso espressivo con frutta e suolo. Al palato fine, molto naturale e altrettanto preciso e pulito. Finale caldo e avvolgente.
Lascia in bocca la natura del luogo.

One of my favorite Lauer bottlings. Great orice, great acidity and a little RS. Delicious. — 6 months ago
An exceptional wine that shows its age ability to endure and improve over time. The 2009 vintage has 76% Cab Sauv, 18% Merlot, 4% Cab Fran and 2% Petit Verdot and was aged for 15 months in French Oak barrels. Extremely opulent and luscious, though tannins were already falling, but its elegance and finesse was compelling. All ripe red fruits with a persistent perfumed aromas. Elongated finish with some fig notes as a bit of baked raisins. It can continue aging for another 15 years without compromising its elegance and complexity. This is a show stopper!! — 9 months ago
