Toasty plum and rye with cedar hinting at mascarpone-mint, boasting bright blueberry, dry blackberry and raisin-currant melange; withered hibiscus. Decidedly grape-y on the nose and into a mouthful of red currant, dried cranberries, green tea, pencil, cinnamon bark, savory, plus a salted black plum, and baked cranberry. This one has had oxygen exposure for 7 days, but is still wound up. Hold this one for a ten year minimum in my opinion. It was good yesterday, but better today. It shall not live to see tomorrow. Soft lemon pith and wet peel, green orchid stem, tangy, deconstructed lime from zest to oil and pith, lemon grass, and fresh cut lemon somehow echoing green apple tart bursts; lean and sexy with myriad edible flowers, lavender, squash blossom, nasturtiums, dandelion, and others, small and subtle. Overall a great Chardonnay with elegance and calculated beauty reminiscent of a Japanese garden, or a small, manicured French palatial jardin. .

80/20 #syrah/#grenache. Surprisingly damp & earthy lacking mourvedre or carignan. Dark red, ruby on the edge. Damp earth, barnyard and cat litter (unused). All blows off to red roses, potpourri and cranberry. Palate is awesomely balanced. Earth shows up there. Slightly leathery, mild acid, not a lot of tannin. Light/medium body. Opened 4/1/17 with baked rock fish and greens. — 7 years ago
