Toasty plum and rye with cedar hinting at mascarpone-mint, boasting bright blueberry, dry blackberry and raisin-currant melange; withered hibiscus. Decidedly grape-y on the nose and into a mouthful of red currant, dried cranberries, green tea, pencil, cinnamon bark, savory, plus a salted black plum, and baked cranberry. This one has had oxygen exposure for 7 days, but is still wound up. Hold this one for a ten year minimum in my opinion. It was good yesterday, but better today. It shall not live to see tomorrow. Rim to rim color density. Red and black cherries poke through cedar and sweet tobacco on the nose with dark chocolate chunks, plum, prune and date, toasted sesame, cinnamon, rose petal, and cardamom. Chewy tannins that roll satin-smooth initially, then cassis, black currant and licorice flip the script. Graphite and blackberry frame dark chocolate and mocha-tobacco, oak and black bread.

Cran-grape-blackberry sensibility with dark roast coffee undertones, milk chocolate, carnation, caramel, dried parsley, carrot purée. Palate is coffee coated black currant, chicory, dried blackberry, bramble, cedar, tight and green oak notes, violet, baseball glove, tart cherry, tart raspberry and raspberry reduction. Rich offering here to satisfy the lofty spirit, but needs time to coalesce.
Pair with warm fires.

Really dense and structured in a beautiful sense. Oaky leaves, twigs and green acorns on the nose; black cherries, violets, cloves and peppercorn. Oak tannins lap the lower sides of your tongue and teeth. Tar, crushed violet, black currant, cranberry, graphite: yes and more please! Thought I should get on this one sooner, but could age a while too! .

Reliquus 2019 cab St Helena Napa (grace family).
This one shines bright with red cherry and raspberry notes leading a nose of blueberry and cassis as strawberry peeks through. The palate is silky and refined despite grainy tannins which amplify versus detract. Depth and intensity that is a dichotomy considering the fruited nose. Elegant, sinewy and serpentine. Scrumptious.

Soft, lovely, bread-y nose of black currant fur, licorice, light mint forcing upward, sprouting through potting soil. Cinnamon and blueberry warmly embraced by dark bread and small specks of black pepper. Fruit tannins thickly house-painted across your front teeth in a real sense. Muscle. Licorice-charcoal, bitters, blackberry, black currant, graphite-smoke halo, black cherry, oak and cedar, wound up and closed in places, but powerhouse lurking in the shadows.
