Killing a baby while waiting for a cab to open. Complex nose with powdered white gravel, flowers, mint, and lemon oil. Balanced palate of pineapple, cream, citrus, and nuts. Much better as it warms in the glass and each sip evolves. Super interesting. Kicking myself for opening so young but I'm low on whites! — 9 years ago

High acid super quick finish. Nice light entry level wine. Off dry and it's a winner. Was great with the Tako poke pairing — 10 years ago
2012, Reichsgraf Von Kesselstatt, Monopole Grosse Lage Josephshofer Mosel Riesling. A monopole Mosel Riesling, that is a rarity. Major acidity, apricot, nectarine, tangerine and a little tropical fruit. Just so young, would love to try it again with about 10 years of aging. — 10 years ago
Needs to open up a bit. Not a huge cab. On lighter side. — 11 years ago
2012 is more generous and I think higher RS than the 10 or 11 abtsberg. My website used to have a picture of me walking this vineyard. — 11 years ago
A slight tart start but good overall. — 13 years ago
2011v. Aromatic nose of ripe yellow fruit (apples, pear), rubber cement and petrol, and a little dried cinnamon spice. Lots of flavor on the palette too: a quick hit of sweetness, then pronounced yellow fruit tropical fruit--ripe mango and pineapple. It's almost like there's a slight bit of oak hanging on those fruit flavors. Petrol lingers on the finish. In terms of body, it has a little weight and waxiness in mouth. Acid is balanced with the other attributes of the wine. At $9 on sale, the QPR is off the charts. A fantastic everyday white wine. — 8 years ago
Fantastic! Full body balanced and a bit creamy Carmenero makes your taste flying. Dry smoked cherries and spices dance giving joy rare to feel. — 9 years ago
Slightly disappointed with he effervesce of this wine when first opened . After 30 minutes of settling that went away and opens a nice mineral slate and stone fruit nose that was also displayed on the palate. Honey ,dates , apricot, slate and mineral dominated this bone dry and brightly acidic monster of a Riesling. — 10 years ago
This was actually the 2012 Estate Cabernet. It was bursting with flavor and promise for such a young wine. — 11 years ago
"Nimm den Riesling mit!" -- advice I heard at a party in Germany long ago. This is a good example of a wine that would produce such an exclamation. This has flowers, grapefruit, and just a little honeysuckle. There's a pleasant citrus acidity and a little gravel and steel. There are hints of herbs, resin, and petrol that might strengthen with time. — 8 years ago
A lovely balance of tropical fruits, honey, and acidity. — 10 years ago

A recommendation from the Sommelier at L'atelier de Joel Robuchon in Taipei. Nice wine, great year! — 10 years ago
Amazing, for a white... — 11 years ago

This one is even a touch better than the Kalkofen. More structure and mouthfeel. — 8 years ago
