2010 #ClemensBusch 'vom roten Schiefer" is amazing from bottles but #magnums are a different planet in terms of intensity--drained one at Duarte's in Pescadero--didn't hurt a bit! — 10 years ago

This off-beat Cuvee Marguerite is made from some extinct clone related to Chardonnay, if I understood Andrew Green correctly, which is made in very small quantities from super-old, ungrafted vines and only bottled in #magnums since about 2005--it's odd but it's damn good odd! — 9 years ago

Near perfect. The #blancdeblancs from Mumm Napa age so beautifully, especially out of #magnums! Some fresh citrus notes, but smells and flavors of a bakery in full swing dominate, toasty almond and slightly burnt baguette.
