Beautiful color of ruby with a wide reddish rim.
Nose of ripe plums, cooked cherries, spices, dried figs, light oak, tobacco leaf, black pepper, earth, coffee, dark chocolates, herbs and light vegetables.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with plums, currants, cherries, spices, licorice, light oak, herbs, light vegetables, black tea and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Sangiovese from Montepulciano, Tuscany. Powerful, yet elegant. Well balanced with a great mouthfeel.
Feels like a 20 year old Right Bank Bordeaux. Drinking this with the wine maker, makes the experience even better.
Still drinking beautifully, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
This 11 year old is good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes in the glass.
Good by itself or with food. Paired beautifully with the tagliatelle pasta with wild boar ragu.
