Fresh and elegant vino nobile, lots of cherry flavours, a very good wine, but a bit ‘light’ with the bistecca fiorentina, probably needs a bit more time. Nevertheless one of the best producers in the appelation — 9 months ago

Always like Altesino wines. Obviously no Poggio di Sotto or Stella de Campalto but this is still very delicious. Continue to love the Italian 2016s! Great fruit, well balanced acid, nice lifting finish. Good pairing with pork chops with a porchetta style seasoning. — 4 years ago

Quite nice. A good value when I bought it and even better now as it’s going for $19. From the owners of Poggio di Sotto which we had the good fortune to taste at recently. Quite complete. Tannins at this point are still pretty forbidding, but at this price a good one to stock away for the future. — 4 years ago
