Blend of 85% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, Graciano & Mazuelo, was first wine winery ever produced, aged 18 months in 225L barrels. Deep Ruby color with aromas of fruit, earthy forest floor and woodsy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with cedar, tobacco, leather and smoky notes. Fine chalky tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, tobacco, toasty cedar and earthy mineral character. Nice now! Good value! — 3 months ago

Made by famous Vega Sicilia estate. Deep Ruby with an array of aromas, dark fruits, spice, floral and some oak, aged for about 14 months in French oak, mostly new. On the palate flavors of juicy ripe blackberry currants, blueberry & plum with mocha, espresso and licorice wrapped in oak. Firm round taut tannins, great balance with acidity, full body, long finish ends with fruit, oak, spice, and mineral character. Almost starting to open, definitely needs more time! 100% Tempranillo crafted by Asúa Winery located in the town of Haro, La Rioja, Spain, an area known for its unique clay soils rich in calcium and iron. This particular winery focuses on small batch production runs to ensure each bottle receives the care and attention in the vineyards and the cellar.
The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, it has an amazing purple in hue. On the nose has some decent reductive aromas featuring plums and blackberry with a noticeable oaky layer. On the mouth the supple tannins and juicy on the fruit-forward complements the elongated finish.
