A little heavy, syrupy. — 14 days ago
Dark berries, medium tannins, a little chalky. A nice Chianti to have with pizza. — a month ago
Brief notes at a good Italian restaurant in Sanctuary Cove. We don’t often drink Amarone but we love it when we do. Rich and supple, blackberry like liquid Fruit and Nut milk chocolate. Touch of liquorice. An excellent match with Beef Ragu with Pappardelle pasta. — 3 months ago
️ Toscana IGT Rosso (Tuscany, Italy)

Oh so nice with a perfectly made Bolognese. Not at all too early. — 17 days ago
If anything, it’s now better than the last time I had this vintage. It was balanced, broad and fun. Still lots of fruit — just amazing body and aroma without any distractions. That’s how Brunello should be! — 17 days ago
Very dry, high high acid. Leather, smoke, cedar, minerals. Not much fruit. Higher tannins. And a good borolo flavor — 22 days ago
Rare sighting. Lucky to drink them side by side. Both a bit young and powerful with so much aging potential. Massetino is mostly Merlot with some Cab Franc. Masseto is all Merlot. Distinctly different though. Massetino being the more robust and Masseto being the more elegant. Then again. So much potential. — a month ago

Blackberry blueberry bramble. Smarties. Pitty. Inky marker. Sweet on the nose and concentrated. — 6 months ago
Beautiful and light with just a super light tannin finish. Another great bottle barn find. — 11 days ago
Impressive showing here with blackcurrants and leather. The finish persists for minutes and leaves you wanting more. Very classy — a month ago

Fruity yet not too sweet — 22 days ago
Nice bouquet of violet, subtle spice. Cherry, herbal and earthy. Liked it better on the second day. Touch hot on the first. — 4 months ago

I bought and drank a fair amount of Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre back in the late 1990s, and always enjoyed them. First time in the past 20 years, this seems a little softer and polished, a little lower ABV (13.5 vs. 14+ in earlier vintages), this is vinified using conventional fermentation as well as some ripasso fermentation (think Amarone drying grapes on straw mats), and has some very nice complexity and length, very nice!! — 24 days ago
