Rich oak and cedar aromas with cedar sweet tobacco and oak drenched red fruit with an aged quality finish Uber smooth and packed with currants and light baking spice - sundried grapes add a bit of oxygenation similar to Vin Santo with nutty character — 7 years ago
Drinking through aged #pinotnoirs this 🇺🇸🎇#winebid. better after decanting for 30-60 mins. Opens up with greater complexity. Uber silkyness. — 8 years ago
Really enjoyed this. Balanced and uber drinkable. — 8 years ago
So so intense, clean mineral lines & voluminous on palate-tasted blind my friend thought Chardonnay. 50 shades of apricot, a squeeze of petrol at end of long finish. Enough padding to be also Uber enjoyable. — 2 years ago
Stunning bottle! Far less dark and brooding than 2006, the uber rare 2000 Montepulciano is elegant, seamless and impeccably detailed. It’s layered with crazy depth of aromatics that soar flaunting BBQ spice, espresso, dried flowers and red fruit. It has off the charts complexity and a wild untamed nature to its expression that is as intriguing as it comes. The palate is precise, pure and balanced with a stunningly elegant texture and incredible length. Masterful wine. — 4 years ago

Nose is so supple. Warming (not in an alcoholic sense) and comforting. Dried roses. Spices. As this opens, intense hand crushed rose petals. With some more time intense lilacs. I mean really intense like elite volnay intense. Wtf!?!
Palate is still so fresh. Moderately dense fruit. Bright cherries. So juicy. Terrific spice. Rose petal juice. Wow. Nice elegance. Only 13.5% alcohol. Not one of these ponderous post climate change monsters. As it opens very good deliciousness. A lovely Roundness. Spice. Wow.
Great fresh finish.
This is exactly why you want in an entry level Barolo. Not Uber dense and overly weighty. Stunningly drinkable. Wow.
I’m having it with cassouela. Yes I know I should have had valtellina wine to stay in Lombardy... bite me. All the ballers in Milan drink barolo.

This wine is uber fruity with a smoky nose. Positively scrumptious! The price point is such a bargain for this quality of wine. — 7 years ago
Oh man. The massivity of brunello with the balance of San Lorenzo. Gods cherry syrup with cherry licorice on the nose. Spice that stings the nose. Intense as hell. Palate is sick. Just Uber powerful cherries with spice. As you swallow just this awesome sweet cherry licorice. So damned fresh even though it’s a massive wine. Still juicy. Loooooooooove 06 in Montalcino. Long as hell. Persistent. So good. Bought from Fass Selections. — 8 years ago

Easily the best '15 Bojo I've had to date. Deep, even sweet? granitic notes enrich baking spices and uber-ripe, uber-tangy berries on the nose. Has the density and weight of '15 but is so lively that it keeps itself balanced and fresh nonetheless. Weighty and lively at the same time. Geoffray, as usual, is the master. — 9 years ago

Late release after prolonged barrel aging.
Waxy, evolved, round with uber ripe lemons & nice exotic note. Creamy & quite broad for Riesling. On the palate this starts creamy and then the racy, steely acidity bites in. Nice breadth & weight. Yet balanced! Not too long though.
Somehow - I’m not that impressed. — 3 years ago
2014 Napa cabs are in a sweet spot for the “fruit forward” stage of wines without ripping the enamel off your teeth. TRB is a favorite winemaker of mine for his ability to pull the entire fruit spectrum (red, blue, black), when applicable, which is evident here.
This is a pop and pour for the big fruit loving Napa enthusiasts (which I can enjoy ever so often). It is uber ripe and high toned...not quite sporting levels of EA, but close. With this being Calistoga fruit, it undoubtedly shows that warm profile. There is a kiss of red fruit initially on the nose before it is dominated by freshly squeezed blackberries, creme de cassis, dark chocolate, mocha and dark mixed berry pie. It begins on the palate somewhat lighter than expected before picking up steam and really gaining heft/density on the mid palate. Just oozes fresh and ripe dark fruits, fondue dipped fruits, plenty of baking spices like vanilla and nutmeg, and a sweet finish that sails on for a good while. Completely smooth and soft tannin. Not failing off a cliff for a while, but this style has me thinking earlier consumption is best. — 5 years ago
This vintage features an uber fragrant nose and is just bursting with berry flavors, so much so that I want to enjoy it on its own. Remember to enjoy it in a “Syrah” glass to bring out all its nuances. — 7 years ago
Accomasso. Years ago most didn't know him or not care about his wines. Now his Baroli are among the rarest worldwide. Good or bad? What an honor it was to taste this uber classic beautiful 1996 "Rocchette" (official single vineyard in "Rocche dell'Annunziata, la morra) from this outstanding vintage recently. Dark berries, cranberries, smoke, road tar & torched earth. Still a firm tannic structure, I loved a lot among the flavors of first maturity. A very straight, austere and honest Barolo that shows the traditional character of what Nebbiolo can be. Hope to stumble upon another 1996 again someday... — 7 years ago
Uber traditional winemaking. Potpourri, tart cherry, rose, orange peel, and hints of tar. — 9 years ago

Uber traditional, heavy bricking, fully mature now and maybe even a bit on the decline (storage before I bought it?), but this is such a classic example of aged Nebbiolo. All sous bois, leather, wood smoke, tar, and fruit that is surprisingly soft. Roddolo is not widely available in the US but deserves to be better known. — 10 months ago
