Cult wine lovers rejoice! This Swiss Pinot noir has some Smokey and almost sweet characteristics on the nose, while the palate of black cherries and tobacco. The winemaker cold soaks the grapes prior to fermentation for maximum extraction of aroma and flavor.
Between the 3 wines, the transition from red to blue to black fruits, and development of smokey qualities epitomizes the different terroirs and techniques Pinot makers are using across the world. — 3 years ago
3rd generation women wine makers. Owner was a ballerina and all wines are named for a pose. Natural wine. Lovely and tart. — 6 years ago
When 05 MDT is on it’s hard to beat. An absolutely pristine bottle tonight, in color barely having aged a day, still markedly youthful with captivating aromatics, a powerful, voluminous and waxy textured palate that comes with age, racy lemony acids and crystalline minerality. There’s such tremendous weight and density in this vintage yet it’s still chiseled and focused in its delivery. Just brilliant tonight. Thunder mountain ftw 🥳 — 21 hours ago

First rum I’ve ever liked, I’m 40 years old and whenever i drank rum I always gagged and felt the burning from the sins of a thousand years of hell burning inside my face, throat, and chess. This rum, however, felt like a hot cup of tea during a fall thunder storm. Perfection! — 5 years ago
2017 - Pomegranate and strawberries. A light bright zin mix that paired well with salmon. — 6 years ago
Had this in cellar! Outstanding! From the makers of Sassicaia, Deep Ruby with red & black fruits and floral aromas of this 60% Cab Sauv 40% Merlot blend. On the palate flavors of cherry, currants and blackberry with cinnamon, licorice, cacao and earthy notes, well integrated. Fine tannins, approachable, a wine with a solid structure, elegant and smooth, long finish, great mouth feel ending with fruit and spicy oak. Still had room to age. Nice! — 3 years ago
Forgot to take a photo of the Half Bottle at No. 19 Restaurant at The Darling at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. This was the 2017 William Downie from Gippsland. Interested to try this as Gippsland is the home of Bass Phillip, one of the most accomplished makers of Pinot Noir in Australia as is William Downie. This was more beetroot and earthy root vegetables than red fruits with classic Burgundian sappiness. A classy effort although has some developing to do. — 6 years ago

My fave rose ever! Got from Vinoteca. Juicy, fresh, crisp, drinks kind of like an orange. It’s what I want all summer long on a boat — 16 days ago
