Vice nice finish. Bold tannins. Tobacco. Leather. Cocoa. — 7 years ago
Peach fruit cup. Very reminiscent of Ultramarine Rose... or vice versa — 7 years ago
DECANT | Dry dry dry with finesse and structure. Apricot. White pepper. Slightly oxidative. Enough weight to pair with pork. Nutty. Oak. 2011. Wine that is a matured in barrel for several years under a naturally occurring film of flor yeast. 100% Savagnin. * 'white' Cotes du Jura may be made from up to 20% red grapes – and vice-versa. * Cotes du Jura is known for Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Pinot Noir and Trousseau. — 8 years ago
Beautiful gift from our friend, Liz Vice! Love this wine! — 8 years ago
Glad I opened it. Just starting to slide, but was terrific with my bolognese. Great example of how the right wine elevates the meal and vice versa. — 9 years ago
Walt always puts out solid pinots and this one is my vice. The sweet fruit notes on the nose and the blueberry and velvet like elixir on the palate is just a winning combination. That being said, it’s certainly a fruit forward style Pinot so if you’re looking for Burgundian traits, I’d look elsewhere. — 9 years ago
The best bang for your buck. Thanks for supplying my vice, Trader Joes. — 9 years ago
CS75-M25 / used to be owned by latour / exchanged 3ha with neighbor Mouton Roth "whenever you drink MR you also drink Fonbadet and vice versa" / FO18mo 50n:50u / created by latour just after 1855 classification so missed rating — 11 years ago
06’ Melka Metisse. 83% Cabernet 13% Merlot 4% PV
Similar to the vice versa tonight. They’re both polished and approachable wines. I would recommend a short 15 minute decanting. Hell... let it open up in your glass.
Looking at this wine you would’ve never guessed it was 12 years old.
Dark red(crimson)almost to the edge of the glass.
In your face & up front style of this...quite appealing. Black plum, blueberries, licorice. Well integrated oak, with silky tannins. Lingers on the back of the palate for a good 30 seconds. Full- bodied & delicious. Drink this in it’s prime. 2/3 great years in it. — 7 years ago
The 14 Cabernet is a blend is 82% Cabernet, 9% Merlot, 4% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc. On the nose; ruby, elegant, black berries, black plum, dark cherries, poached strawberries, soft spice, anise, soft baking spices, dark rich soils and red & dark florals. The entry is rich, thick, full bodied elegance. The tannins are M+. Fruits are; blackberries, plum, black plum, dark cherries and black raspberries. Nice spices follow, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, violets & red fresh florals, rich dark soils, leather, tobacco, graphite, crushed dry rocks, underbrush with nice round acidity and a round, lush, elegant finish. Photos of; a wide shot of Pepper Bridge, Artifex custom crush facility, Winemaker, Jean-François Pellet and the view from their terrace. Producer notes...born and raised in Switzerland, Winemaker Jean-François Pellet is a third-generation wine grower. He earned degrees in both enology and viticulture. As part of his studies, he interned in Switzerland, Germany and the Napa Valley. After graduating, he managed vineyards and made wine in Switzerland and Spain. After his time in Europe, his experience and reputation brought him to Heitz Cellars in the Napa Valley, where he worked for four years. Pepper Bridge recruited him out of Heitz and he moved to Walla Walla to become that winery's creative force. His success at Pepper Bridge afforded him the opportunity to join the Amavi partnership. Jean-François Pellet is also a partner in Artifex, the areas very successful custom crush facility. Additionally, he is also a founding member and current vice-president of the Walla Walla Valley's sustainable agriculture organization, VINEA. Quite a resume! It was a pleasure meeting him. He is a very kind person and an extremely knowledgeable Winemaker. Thank you for all of your time & knowledge during our visit.

Is this thing on!? Hi Delectable, I've missed you.
Thanks for the bottle @Ted Hughes a beautiful welcome back to this most wonderful vice! — 9 years ago
Just loved this. Aromatics off the charts. Bell pepper, sour cherries, black pepper, and acid for days. Each gulp encouraged a bite of pork chop and vice versa. Buy. More. Now. — 9 years ago
Tight as a vice — 10 years ago
Bubbles from Belgium! Light hint of green apples in this sparkling Chardonnay. Good apertif or a companion for something powerful - be it cheese, or might I suggest an awesome Belgium Chocolate. Perhaps even a sweet Liége-style waffle. The bottle says blanc de blancs - it's a good canvas in which to paint a good pairing vice being alone. — 11 years ago
Wow. Light and fruity. Glad I got a lot of it’s friends in the basement. — 7 years ago
Pommard is so Willamette it's uncanny. (Or vice versa). This was pretty awesome on fathers day. Threw in a couple OR pinots after and didn't miss a beat. — 8 years ago
Enjoyed last night at Del Frisco's Fort Worth. To prevent a 300 dollar bill, we have always either opened a bottle of white and glasses of red or vice versa. We found this little guy in a 325, which probably wasn't bad considering that I think this would have been even MORE locked up from a 750. This wine did take probably 30 minutes before it was able to be enjoyed. Once it did, it was quite velvety on the front, with a good dark raspberry and classic French terroir on the nose and palate. Herbal notes like clove in the middle, all the while a very soft and red fruit backbone. The wine had a great complexity to it, and nice acidity and tannic balance that went perfectly with steak. Medium + bodied. I think my experience would be better in 2-3 years (from 375), probably 5 years from a 750. Nice little dinner wine. — 8 years ago
This was interesting enough to be great. And vice versa. Nowhere near accurate to anything re terroir or varietal that I have tried, but a balanced, unique wine nonetheless. Chalk, crushed vitamin pills, green mountain herbs. Want more. — 9 years ago
I could not tell if the nose had more plum than blackberry or vice versa. But I can say blueberries won out on the palate. There was some dirty rock as well and a touch of spice that lingered for a while. Overall average to me. It did have some nice touches, may have better with food. — 9 years ago
Oloroso from Montilla Moriles DO vice sherry de Jerez. Wonderful and rich oloroso. Also unfiltered, yeah! — 10 years ago
Tonight I ride a lightly flower'd spice through luxuriant honey-stalk'd moors. Capricious tongues! Yon elixir does entice, quaffing until endrunkedness obscures a horn-mad brain pan lusting for vice. — 11 years ago
ADAM STROMFELD
Meaty nose. Milk chocolate on the palate. Absolutely perfect balance and red berries. A mouthful of red cherries and tobacco. Again, with Maayan - what an experience!! He is the “Man” in Napa!!! — 6 years ago
