Celebrating my father in law as he finished his battle with pancreatic cancer. Sometimes there is the right wine at the right place with the right people. Even let the almost adult children on the action. Great celebration. This wine was feminine and full of black/ blue fruit. Thank you Lou for your passion You exceeded expectations and delivered. Drink ice cold, delicious rose, salmon in color. People loveeeee this wine! — 10 years ago
"Very pleasant 03. Some people have described it as tight when opened, but I got a great nose of blackberry and baking spices right away. I don't feel that it improved much after breathing. Nice flavor of dark berries, plum, spice. I was not able to pick out the leather or tobacco. Lovely mouthfeel. Quite smooth with a hint of tannin still surviving. I don't think this will get a lot better, but I also don't think there is a hurry to drink up." — 10 years ago
Elegant Cote Rotie. Too many people hunt for Ogier's top bottlings but this baseline offering should not be overlooked.

Pinot for the people! Under 20 bones and delivers fresh red fruit and great acidity. Bottled young? — 11 years ago
A nice spicy red blend...for commies! — 13 years ago
Again, for the price here I would rather have an extremely expressive village burgundy that would deliver louder everything for the money. Nonetheless this is worthy for California and people doing their best to make something more out of what's here. — 9 years ago
A nice one. Not very sweet but the vanilla aroma makes it seem that way: too much character in the aroma to pair easily with anything but a red meat or dessert. Nice by itself. Update: I came back and increased my rating on this wine. It's become a favorite: bring it to a dinner party: people will comment and ask for the name. 2014 is a great year and I've since explored other wines by this company: have loved them all! — 9 years ago
I know people bitch about the Caymus and Silver Oaks of the world. They bitch because it's consistently great and set a standard. — 10 years ago
Maybe one of the best pinks to give to people who turn up their nose at the idea. A little friz, lots of punchy fruit and tartness. Hint of oceanic salt makes it beg for shellfish. Value and drinkability. This is wine for everybody. — 10 years ago
Ever heard the saying they don't make it like they used too. Well it's true with only a handful of California wines that recap poured the hype of Parker but clearly that turned out to be for our benefit. This wine was not Sunni Jung but out dud not did disappoint either. More Bordeaux like that fruity this had classic cedar noted with leathery almost plum like fruit with a good mid palate. Remarkable wines like Selene Forman Scherrer and laurel Glen are too overlooked and I for one am a fan and advocate. Blind I fool most of the people who buy Parker wines. These products make things with soul. — 10 years ago
Brilliant!! Dried apricots, roses, black berries and interestingly, some nutty flavours and salty notes to level out the sweet. Medium bodied and perfect with or without food. Loved it nearly as much as the beautiful people I was sharing it with who are making roast lamb. Big fan. — 11 years ago
brilliant expression from aligote crazy old vines with great minerality, aromatic complexity, drinkability over all; no way people keep underestimating this variety. — 11 years ago
Need a Leo at your party? Looking for that gal who can charm the pants off a discerning group of hopeless wanderers? This is your gal. She's a people pleaser with a penchant for citrus and lemongrass. This is the city gal of summer wines. Crisp, refreshing and a pallet pleaser. Allegedly loves seafood (this according to match.com). — 11 years ago
I now understand all the attention and excitement that Napa Cabernet brings to the American wine world, and why people obsess over it. This wine was truly magnificent. It was all about power, concentration, and texture. All the classic aromas and flavors you'd expect made an appearance. Blackberry, cassis, cocoa, graphite, and oak spice are all in there. Luscious texture frames the wine, while there is enough acidity to hold it all together. Best wine I've had to date. — 8 years ago
To quote my two friends @Martin G Rivard and @Mike Rowe this is a bad ass wine eliciting smiles all around (and a great way to start 2017). Parker gave this a perfect score and it is a beauty. Decanting is a must at this point. It's been opening up over the last 4 hours and think it will continue to improve if I can sip more slowly lol. Slightly cloudy, and a bright purple in the glass. On the nose, cassis, vanilla and toast dominate. The sips are long and driven by fruit (blue and blackberries and cassis). Liquid silk in the mouth with sweet tannins and a surprisingly strong acidity. The finish is long. This is a total baby but I had to try it. Happy New Year to all my Delectable friends and especially to my fellow Wine Nerd Herd. I've always believed that sharing wine with friends is the greatest gift and this app has enabled me to do that with friends near and far and connect with some great people. May 2017 be a year of great health and happiness and may all our glasses be full! — 9 years ago

Admittedly this is probably a little too generous, but we've had nothing but fantastic experiences with Broman. Jill found the 2007 in the basement of a wine shop in San Diego a couple years ago, and it was fantastic. Small production family operation, very gracious people... And the wine, if you can find it, is a wonderful value. The nose on this is beautiful, the fruit and tannins are balanced. Everything you want in a Napa cabernet. A quick decant will be rewarded. — 10 years ago
I spotted a Willamette Valley unicorn in its natural habitat! I see why the people gobble up this allocated gem: brimming with Spring scents from a forest floor, this wine conveys "a thing-ness" of swirling weights, aromatics, and tastes that together tell why we chase after the naiad known as Pinot Noir. — 10 years ago
Deep fruit. Plum. Minerals. Juicy. Armenian wine! Dedicated to the people of the genocide 100 years ago today. — 11 years ago
Freezing my ass off in NYC and back at Cipriani... How many $20 bills have I palmed Fabio over the years, but he parts at least 50 people to give me the best table in the house... This Moses parting this human Red Sea greets me with two kisses and a welcome Mr. Peter... Love this guy... Anyway, Scott & Deb, two of my oldest clients join me... Deb looks exactly the way she looked 20 years ago and Scott looks great... This wine; AIA!!! Velvety, rich, dark, seductive... It's a beautiful woman in a glass... Ornellaia and Sassicaia... Two of my favorites... Still young, but oh so drinkable... — 11 years ago
A testament to a visionary winemaker surrounded by people who want to join him in living the dream. Leather and liquorice on the nose, blackberries in the mouth and a long, velvety vanilla finish. Merci, Jean-Michel Comme. — 11 years ago
