Very much a dry German Riesling at 13% ABV. Arguably opened too early - guided by a window from Jancis. Her colleague, Julia Harding (through to 2030) was more accurate. Yellow orchard fruit aromas; under ripe peach on the palate-some spice and mineral - still carrying quite some acid. The palate is delicate and balanced. A pleasure to drink now with that GG quality coming through. I would’ve liked to try another bottle in 4 to 5 years. — a year ago
As goth in residence I should alert you that aside from inevitable pheromones it is intellectual wine acumen that revs my motor. Ipso facto if brains turn you on, this Bandol will seduce you with its thoughtful rigor—it has its balance and complexity fine-tuned. Then pure sensual attributes (silky rhubarb/peach Melba joy/is that a bay leaf? And omg perhaps even a hint of allspice) are all guest speakers at the symposium. This wine has deep thoughts but is perky-goth enough to dance til at least 3am. Daylight may be too much though. — 5 years ago

Super sweet, candied fruit flavor. Perfect by itself — 7 years ago
Concentrated and intense, creamy nectarine, peach pitt, honeysuckle, orange peel. Terrific wine and would never believe how high alcohol. 14.5%. — 8 years ago
Beautifully resolved. Soft edges. Brioche, soft peach, hints of dried apricot, corn. Great balance and perfectly resolved. Excellent — 9 months ago
I could drink this shit forever, it has a sexy marriage of minerality and acidity. I’m getting green apple, white peach, some lime. Also the suggestion of pizza dough and something savory like mushroom (just me???) — 3 years ago
Crisp and fruity Sauvignon Blanc. Has a lot more power than most SV’s from NZ. Decadent notes of lime, grapefruit and white peach balanced with sharp acidity and saline notes. Delicious. Pair with food for sure. — 4 years ago
Lemon curd and Meyer lemon on the nose, goes down ever so smoothly with peach and floral notes on the palate. Beautiful and clean with bright acidity! — 5 years ago
Interesting wine. White tea was dominating for a bit, then the nose turned more floral. A lovely peach/melon undertone in the mouth. Couldn’t put the glass down. — 6 years ago
Zesty, lemon peel requires about 30-45 minutes in the glass. Elegant with a slight note of peach. — 6 years ago
An English fortress built in the 13th Century, with its square tower, a design typical of the era, became a wine producing estate in 1643. From organically grown grapes, an estate that has never seen pesticides or artificial fertilizers (the previous owner was 104 years old when she died and never used them). Aromas of sweet rich stone fruits with citrus scents. On the palate peach and apricot flavors with orange nutty notes. Medium finish ending with a honey citrus character. Nice now. Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago
Clementine, peach skin, decent acidity. — 9 months ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, vanilla and spice scents. On the palate complex flavors of apple, peach, pineapple and lemon citrus, well balanced with acidity on a nice mouthfeel. Long finish ending with oak, vanilla, mineral and citrus notes, will continue to age. A beautiful Chardonnay. Pair this with a Swordfish steak topped with balsamic roasted tomatoes. — a year ago
Reminds me of something like Ecto Cooler or Hi-C, glowing orange stuff, strangled from the box and through a straw for every drop. Personality and expression and who cares if it's not particularly complex. Too many other reasons to enjoy.
Like leaping scents of exotic sour mango, salty peach, apricot, and sandalwood. A little bit of grip and texture and a whole lotta fun. — 4 years ago
Enjoyed this over the course of several days starting Christmas evening. Just beautiful...the ripest Red Haven Peach followed by creme brûlée. Long seductive finish. Left me wanting more. — 5 years ago
Crisp grapefruit and grass, green apple, hint of peach on the nose. Mineral apple and effervescence on the tongue. Delicious and refreshing! — 6 years ago
Deep golden color, complex aromas, marmalade and peach pit, density of fruit flavors on the palate, some bitterness on the finish. This wine really shows the character of the vineyard. Interesting stuff but got overwhelmed by our Fried Boudin Fritters with Creole Mustard Sauce. — 7 years ago
An all time fav, apple, light peach, spatlese sweetness. No petrol notes. — 8 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Pale straw color with green edges and aromas of citrus and tropical fruits adding floral herb notes. On the palate apricot, peach and pineapple with lemon zest, classic New Zealand SB. Lively acidity and spice complement this wine, well balanced ending on medium finish. — 8 months ago
