Pear, baked apple, dried apricot, and subtle roasted nuts on the nose. The palate is the harmonious fusion of vigorous fruits, pristine acidity, and integrated oak richness.

Golden hay color. Banana, peach, pineapple, honey, apple, pear on the nose. Rich and buttery on the palate. Lychee, vanilla, cream. Distinct palate, but I prefer a less oaky chard. — 3 months ago

Aged Stony Hill Chard and fresh oysters for Christmas eve ...perfection

Pop and pour. A wondrous medium gold color. Nose: beautiful notes of grilled peach, honey, floral, crushed almonds, lemon toast. Taste: rich, balanced, oily fantastic mouthfeel wine with pear, white pepper, saline, apple, crushed stones and a long smooth lemon-mineral finish. YUM! 2014 in 2022. Aromas of burnt caramel popcorn and of course vanilla. Sharply smooth with lots of ML, surprised how much I love this as I don’t usually love super oaky Chard. Funky, doesn’t taste like any I’ve ever had, lemon curd shining through. — 2 years ago

Nice enough as a wine, but can’t say that it has either the green pepper or the somewhat “purple”ish qualities of cab franc that I’ve come to expect from the Loire and Napa, respectively. Maybe too old? This was a gift and so not sure what the storage conditions were, slightly stewed. Still nice pairing with chicken thighs with olives and feta. — 6 months ago
