The oak has integrated from my previous note in February 2017 where the influence of oak Barriques was overly present. Sangiovese is not enhanced by too much oak in my opinion and is best matured in large Botti like I said in my previous note like Biondi Santi. Good value Amarone from Costco. Pop and pour approachable. Not as dense as the best Amarone but has the nice clove spiciness, fig, and dried leaves slight tannins with a pleasant finish. Surprisingly there is a hint of ripe strawberry that is a softening agent. — 8 months ago
