The south facing floral, pure and mineral 2011 Tillets is in such a good spot. It’s captivatingly aromatic with layers of honeyed white orchard fruit, lilies, toasted hazelnut and gun smoke. The palate is vibrant and so elegant with a crystalline purity, balanced citrusy acids and a persistent stony mineral finish. Excellent vintage for Roulot. — 3 years ago
Besides its acidity, this Sardinian wine is an especially good pair with seafood because it carries the smell of the ocean. Salinity bursts forth with citrus in tow, both on the nose and the palate. It’s a savory wine with loads of character, and it’s a Vermentino from Sardegna. That’s really all you need to know.

An absolute dream. It smells like it wants to go to a campfire. — 6 years ago
Tasted blind. Medium gold color. Looks older. Notes of dried apricots and beeswax. In the mouth it's nicely rich, but there's no significant acidity to balance against the fruit. We are all convinced this isn't Chardonnay. I guess 70's Bordeaux Blanc. No, its (old) CA Chardonnay. Interesting data point. — 7 years ago
Chartreuse. Still developing and a bit green. Stony. Tasty. — 8 years ago
The majestic 2010 Raveneau vintage. 2010 Butteaux is just electric after a few hours in the decanter, showing right at the intersection between youthful vigor and secondary character as it’s starting to develop that magical Raveneau waxy texture that comes with age. It’s deeply aromatic, layered and impeccably balanced between creamy yellow fruit density, stony Chablisen minerality and piercing lemony acids driving everything home. Raveneau is just in a league of its own and 2010 will be one of the best vintages ever for the Domaine and a true classic, terroir driven expression. My favorite since 2004. — 10 months ago
Sourced from the Saint Joseph and Grand Crus subzones of the appellation, which give fine, stony wines. A high-lying sandy parcel gives more complexity, structure, and acidity to the wine. Medium Ruby with red fruit and floral aromas. On the palate flavors of red plum, cherry, banana and earthy mint. Vivid acidity, medium fine tannins, dry with a medium+ finish. Very good and some bottle age will benefit. Tasting Sample. — 6 years ago

Steely, austere, super mineral (deep ocean crushed shells). Grippy, beautiful texture and laser focused acid. Incredible long length! — 8 years ago

A nice blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Semillon and 5% Sauvignon Musque pale lemon with aromas of tropical and citrus fruits with smoky floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, melon, pear and lemon citrus notes with nice balance, crisp medium finish ending with fruit and stony mineral notes. Nice value! — a year ago
What do you know about Melon de Bourgogne? If you’re like me you know nothing about it. Make sure to change that.
Light straw color with green tinges here and there. The nose is fantastic if a bit shy at first. Lemon curd and vanilla. Juicy pears and purple flowers. Salt and ocean spray. None of this smacks you in the face. It’s all rather delicate and whispered.
A single vineyard Muscadet from the Loire Valley. Acidic and very mineral driven. Medium everything and fun on the tongue. There the innate creaminess of the wine makes its presence known. The palate follows the nose closely. Everything here is so cultured, refined, and artful. Love at first sip. — 4 years ago
@maydan and it had a sour beer taste to it. — 5 years ago
My last bottle! From a hillside vineyard on an eastern slope on the second ridge from the Pacific Ocean. Deep Ruby with subtle aromas of red fruits and peppery spices, aging softened the aromas a bit. The palate shows raspberry and cherry with flavorful spices. Vivid acidity with super soft tannins with an earthy feel. Lingering finish with ripe oaky notes, minerality and earthy tones. Aged well, drink now! Very nice! — 6 years ago
One of the great terroirs of Sancerre, paired with buffalo chicken salad because why not. This wine is just pure pleasure—rich and expansive but with plenty of mineral cut, stony but honeyed and suffused with a kaleidoscope of citrus and stone fruit, with a hint of marzipan and toast on the finish. — 7 years ago

Raveneau really nailed this vintage. A difficult growing season and minimal yields have nonetheless produced a stunning MDT, immensely generous, expressive and multidimensional wafting a floral, citrusy-spice inflicted bouquet layered in pastry cream and stony Chablisen minerality. The palate is magnificently textured, concentrated, long and voluptuous, slightly lower in acidity as 16’s can be, but still with plenty of power, tension and balance that belies the vintage norm. MDT is a tremendous success in 2016. Raveneau is king. 💛 — 7 months ago
