Best white Rhône (of too few) I’ve ever tasted. Robbie tells me these drink well on delivery, then soon shut down for 7+ years and come out the other side like this - a honeysuckle punch in the nose, followed by honey-infused chalky and flowery, ripe and full but nonetheless light, liquid Christmas cake. Honey glazed pastry, deep tropical nuances, vanillapods, camphor, Grand Marnier, apricot and papaya. Surprisingly soft, suave and sensual. Low in acidity yet very persistent, well-balanced and complex. Unctuous, fatty and delicious, kinda like a juicy lobster. Get it?

Aug 22nd, 2015What a gorgeous wine.. Fresh, clean and focussed, yet unctuous and complex. Honey, tropical notes, caramel, spice and herbs. Very mineral, leaves a saline, clay-ey, gravel-like nuance in the finish. No signs of oxidation. 93/100
