Stunning. Dauvissat perfection. 2012 Clos is perfect tonight, with more fruit definition than Preuses as expected from the site. It’s textural, chiseled and powerful with Chablisen oyster shell minerality layered in a tidal wave of spiced orchard fruit and white flowers. It’s incredibly silky on the palate showing killer volume and density with racy citrusy acids and a sea spray-like salinity to round it out. When Dauvissat is on it’s hard to beat. Though 55 percent Cab and 36 percent Merlot (the rest is Cab Franc and Petit Verdot), the Merlot provides a lot of influence making for a blend lacking in complexity but still quite nice. Opens up nicely with air. December 2025. — 5 months ago

Well integrated tannins, nice rich berry nose and great balance fruit and acidity on the palate. At eight years has still time to mature more but showing it’s there for the long run.
