Never mad about opening Gonon. Delicious as always. Will be really incredible years down the line. — 6 months ago
Cherry and blackberry, still yummy! — a month ago
Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, dark berry, cocoa and leather. On the palate, full bodied, dark cherry, dark berry, chocolate, and espresso. Medium tannins. Not complex, but Nice table wine. — 2 months ago
Singing. . Right in the window. Still fresh and lively. Elegant cherry notes on the nose. Full bodied and elegant smooth finish. Lovely — 23 days ago

Beautiful intense fruit. Plum and a saline blue fruit thing. Savory and restrained. Good balance. Excellent — 2 months ago
Dug out of the wine fridge for a night in….
An excellent wine and everything we love in fine red Burgundy, concentrated fruit, long finish, light and smooth at the same time. Will need to restock! — 3 months ago
The 2004 Ausone has a mature bouquet with brambly red fruit, marmalade, leather and touches of cooked meat. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a little dry and more savory than expected. I feel there is something a little passé about this Ausone, indicative of the time when wines were being pushed a little hard and frankly, I much prefer more recent vintages (including the 2023 tasted alongside). Big flavour journey, fruity with a long finish — a month ago
Enjoyed with Pat’s grilled steaks, but lighter than expected. May be my “cellar” storage. — 2 months ago
Nearing the end of its window but still drinking well. — 3 months ago
This is why I love Bordeaux! $40 bottle tastes like $100! Lovely dark red color with purple and maroon rims. Classic Bordeaux nose of cedar, rust, flowers, and subtle cow shit. Aged cherries, anise, cedar, and lilacs on the palate. Lovely texture that coats and sticks. Medium plus depth and finish. Really good! — 5 months ago

Deep fruit still. Full of life and deep gnarly tangy plum. Great stuff — a month ago
