Light, citrusy, paired perfectly with chili spiced salmon. — 7 years ago
Nose of ripe; blackberries, blueberries, black plum, black raspberries, dark cherries, white & black pepper, soft, chalky minerals with light & dark fresh florals. On the palate, lean; blueberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, cherries, black licorice, soft baking spices; clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, powdery crushed rocks, leather, dry & fresh dark florals with understated white & black pepper. Wow, talk about value. Delicious, well balanced, great Napa red blend. Deep color, ample jammy fruit, berries and plums, with nice tannin and acid structure. — 9 years ago
This is a great Pinot. You'll never be disappointed. Pairs brilliantly with a 28 day dry aged bone in ribeye too. #laterpost — 9 years ago

Dark purple body, opaque, thin rim. Nose is a little hot, but also has loads of fruit, Cherry and maybe citrus? Can't tell if there is mint or if that's the alcohol. Oak and leather become stronger sensations over time. Palate has good acidity, understated tannins. But then tannins start to dominate the finish. This wine develops over time and each sip is a little different from the previous one. I'm hooked! — 7 years ago

The inky black/garnet '11 Tobin James Lagrein 'Silver Reserve' is a new varietal for me. This Italian grape is quite Syrah-like with concentrated dried plum, blackberry, black tea and spice box aromas. Rich and chewy with a nice dollop of sweet oak on the mid-palate. Medium finish with lingering dark fruit on the back end. Looking forward to my next bottle. — 9 years ago
