New tete de cuvee from Caillez Lemaire and their new highest end bottling. And it is STUNNING. The nose jumps out of the glass with all types of screaming minerals and wet earth. Spice. Green apple. Endless complexity. Sickness. It’s wafting and so so aromatic. Super yeasty. A nose that is dripping with character. Herbs as well. So so deep. Just an insane nose. 9.6. Only open 5-8 minutes and it’s changed 5-6 times. Sickness. Virginia was “hoping” I would like it. I wish I could be even as half as humble as her! Wow. That palate has flavor! Flava in my ear as the acid gets to my ear. RIP Craig Mack. Anyway this is bananas. Amazing sap and power. So sappy. Concentrated and so pure. Painfully intense. Wow, huge spice on the finish. So fresh and precise and wow is this long. What palate presence. Nose gets tons of saline and iodine and the palate develops a mineral sweetness that is stunning. Wow. This is sick. The palate presence of great BDB cannot be denied. A masterpiece. — 5 years ago
Yowza. This is crazy. Stunning mid season cherry. Just phenomenal pure, deep and clear cherry. Sick clarity here. 9.6 nose. Just insane. Stones, soil, licorice as well. Floral. So focused. Amazing fruit clarity here. Top notch. Superb concentration and power. Sappy and so pure. Electric freshness and just ridiculous energy. This is so balanced, deep and well made. Big noble tannins that are perfectly ripe and just gorgeous. Juicy clean fruit and so stoney and mineral. Utterly classic and superb Pommard. 103 year old vines. — 6 years ago
Wow. So well made. Pure cherry juice on the palate. So fresh. Some minerality. Reminds me of pomnier Bourgogne rouge a bit stylistically. A wine you can drink but so well made you have to appreciate the artistry. Lovely finish. Clingy texturally a bit
I like the nose. Very clean cherry. A hint of cherry licorice.
As@this opens much better Sappier. Really sick fruit. Nose gets a touch of blueberry. More spice

Saffron from botrytis. So complex. Pink peppercorns. Smells almost dry. Insane minerality. Wow. We are in BA territory. So rich and unctuous. Fruit density without the viscosity of a BA. Honey. Honeydew melon. Sick inner mouth aromas. Very sweet now and will come Into better balance. Huge acids. Decadence defined. Szechuan peppercorns run throughout. Unreal. — 5 years ago
Raspberry spice cake, florals. Violets galore, wow, wow, wow. So so deep. More shy than the 19 Noirots. Superb earth and spice, huge huge florals. Sickness. Just so sick. What a massive mineral component behind all the fruit and flowers. Top note of some sort of very specific flower I cannot place. These is top notch precision. Nose is getting a pastille violets thing. Long finish and really long but closed. The potential is limitless. But Noirots Is a smidge better. — 5 years ago
Holy shit good.
Nose screams the mosel. Slate. Green apple. Blasts you on pop and pour.
Palate is sick. Huge creamy green apple confectionary. So well balanced. Wow. So creamy. Just crushed candies apples. Wow. So delicious. Not syrupy at all. So clean. The finish is concentrated apple. Like a less sweet tarte tatin.
3 weeks in the nose is like a mountain stream if you juiced a zillion green apples at the top of. A mountain and let them flow down the mountain. — 6 years ago
Funky on the nose; hits you with subtle notes of gorgonzola or blue cheese, and green tomatoes. Viscous texture, but does not coat your mouth. Flavors of plum, pear, and nectarine. Crisp and acidic on the finish. Awesome wine. — 5 years ago
Last time I gave this a 10. Today it’s damn close. Wow. Sick, expansive nose of guava, pineapple, tangerine, spice, flowers, herbs and mango. Perfect ripeness. Just so complex and beautiful. Rainwater. Honey. Endless aromas. Wow that palate. As perfect as a cloud. Stunning density, texture and all in a light package yet doesn’t intensity. Young but so great. A miraculous wine. Amazing acidity, not too high but caressing and invigorating. Concentrated and elegant with flavors of mango, papaya, red currant, and tangerine. Some apricot as well. Finish is slatey, gamey and spicey. Divine juice. — 5 years ago
Nose has lovely cherry flower.
Fantastic. Bright blueberry and cherry fruit.
Brighter and less dark fruit than other years. No big licorice presence. Lovely texture. His most elegant wine I’ve had.
As this opens like some licorice flower on the finish. Also the nose. But way more licorice flower than the usual ugo licorice.
As it opens more Arledge at sweet licorice on the nose. Just his maximally delicious. Gods Cherry licorice. So sweet and elegant. Wow.
An hour in hitting God wine. Internal aromatics are sick. Sick sick sick. Just palate blasting with cherry flower licorice flower spices. So elegant. Pure. Jeebus.
Almost a very elegant at version of a very intense wine.
Could be much better than a 9.4 with age.

Love this Monopole. Sick nose of confectionary fruit, mid season cherries, sour cherry, bright and lifted with limestone mineralIty. Gorgeous but has more to say. Palate is so supple and succulent. Elegant and balanced with awesome purity and freshness. Energetic and super pure. Awesome palate presence and incredible refined tannins. Just impeccably well made. Dynamite. — 6 years ago
Insane Marbach. Wet stones, Meyer lemon, hints of cherry. Huge minerals. Complex, dense and juicy. Powerful and concentrated with an insane finish. Just so complex. This is just brilliant. Nose keeps changing. Vulcanized rubber, almost tannic like finish. Massive structure. Amazing finish. One of the best young wines from Andi I’ve ever had. Just sick. — 6 years ago
Earth on the nose. Nice plum flavors. Some spice. Nice liveliness on the palate. Well made for what it is. Solid Tuesday night wine. I’m having with steak n Roquefort sauce. Vive la France ... ok getting even better as it opens. More savory. Burgundian ? Pommardian ? Mos def dense in an elegant good way. Nose is getting sick. I love drinking well made wines. They get so much more interesting as they open. ... almost a Rhône burgundy cross. Very elegant. Bizarre. But great. — 7 years ago
Sick nose. So mineral. But also a sense of gras. Sugar snap peas, fresh herbs, saltiness, a sense of deepness. White pepper, some possible citrusy or vineyard peach but overwhelmed by mineral. The palate is extraordinary. It’s actually taken me aback how well this wine has done with the 2-4 years of aging. Wow does it have sap and extract for days. Long and mouth-coating on the finish. But it’s a mineral blizzard on the attack. What a wine. Just stunning. So crisp. So long. Outrageous showing. — 8 years ago

Wow. What a showing. Sick nose. Deeply floral, spicey and slatey. Classic Huhnerberg. Apricot. Peach pit. So precise. 16 is so good at Müllen. Palate is so complete, complex and precise. Terrific fruit and depth, but man mineral and deeply acidic but sweet resonant acids. This is just incredible today. — 4 years ago
