This is showing its age. Sweet oak as drying tannins dominate. Maybe a better fit for lovers of new world wines, but I honk this is slightly past due.

A little delicious PN after a tough day with sick kids. Bought at the Wine Cask futures offering in 2005. This is typically pale, ruby colored, fresh as expected for Sta Rita Hills. With aromas of peppery stems, cola, red fruits and plum skin. Still fresh and savoury with a distinct mineral undertone. Well done.
