Nose is all mid season red cherries, cherry flower and so so pure. Mulberry, cranberry bog and so much more. Lipstick like intensity and just so focused and clear. Insane nose. Unreal limestone and depth but also it’s like it’s vibrating on its own plain. Wow what a palate. Juicy and structured with just silly good cherry fruit of the early to mid season style and unreal clarity, focus and linearity. Unreal concentration and depth. So stunning and like a squeegee on the palate. Now some violets on the nose and unreal concentration and sorry but light and ethereal. Oh this is glorious I am gaga over 2021 red burgs. All bangers all the time. Deep aromas of early to mid season cherry, spices and lots of. dried rocks like limestone. Big time limestone. This is ultra transparent. Some fresh pink rose petals as well. Wow. What a palate. Nimble and ultra refined but substantial tannins. Wow this is fantastic. Palate is all early to mid season cherry fruit with silky and furry tannins. So juicy. Needs air but it is all there.

Now after air the nose is an intoxicating perfume of roses and early season cherry. Stunning palate with gorgeous sweet fruit and so linear. 9.3 to 9.4. — 3 months ago

Super expressive nose of chestnut, mid season cherries that are ripe and super juicy. Some tar, some florals and terrific lift. Intense and deep nose. Palate is so perfect. Juicy and compact with perfect balance and stunning Nebbiolo sweetness. Velvety and sweet tannins. Long. Drinking so well now. Lots of spices in the midpalate and the finish. Wow. Like wow. OMG this nose. Just the most vivid and deep early season cherry ever. Beautiful. So high pitched. Incredible. Cherry flower, spice and huge tar. Like wow. I am bowled over. Unreal florals as well. Just so much. Too much is not enough can describe this nose. 9.8 nose. Glorious palate of pure, classic, old school Nebbiolo done the Barbari way. Ultra refined and unreal sweetness of fruit and balance. Like the most explosive cherry ever and then a gentle mineral wash. Just perfect Langhe Nebbiolo. Out of this world. The fruit presence on this is just beyond. So much clarity. Unreal sweetness like only Nebbiolo can do. Not that complex but the delicious factor is better than any Langhe Nebbiolo I have ever had. The energy on the midpalate and finish are just electric yet run like refined gears on your palate. A wine that changes minute by minute. The nose had dizzying rose florals right now and deep minerals and just glorious spice. Now the finesse is kicking in and the tannins are becoming more substantial but the fruit remains sweet and the tannins velvety. Big time cuban tobacco on the nose now. I adore the classic style of 2021 and they are so approachable. What a gorgeous wine. Look at that color. The nose is ethereal cherries and spice. So perfectly ripe but mid season, cool climate cherries. Sea air and forest floor but all so delicate and elegant. Unreal. 9.7 nose. Palate is so forward, round and juicy. Has that middleweight perfection of 21 and that clear, luscious red fruits. Like a sphere on the palate. Awesome. Lovely sour and mid season cherry. So wispy and nimble. Almost like a German Swiss Pinot but very Burgundy. — 3 months ago

Glorious nose of fresh woodshop shavings, dried cherry and dried roses plus smoke and wet earth. Also tree bark. The full mature nebbiolo symphony in effect. Cigar, tobacco, and so much more. This is singing. Some fresh mid season cherries are emerging with some coaxing. Gorgeous loamy minerality. What a nose. 9.5 nose for now. Juicy palate with high acidity and. blend of early season and sour cherries. Stunning purity and finesse. This is so so classy. Now with air the nose is getting layered and more complex. Tbis is a 9.6 now. Wow this is amazing. The finesse is top notch and the fruit is youthening up as it airs. Benjamin Button wine! Velvety tannins and sweet and sour cherry fruit. Complexity explosion on the finish. Simply stunning. After 24 hours the nose is riper but also has complex tertiary aromas that are very floral and loamy. Really so clear and vivid. So juicy and clean and wonderful finesse and unreal fruit. Maybe the best fruit out of all of these vintages. 9.5 to 9.6 overnight. — 4 months ago

Age that Fruh! At 10 this is really coming into its own Gorgeous nose of wet earth, spice and desiccated leaves and tree bark. An interesting citrus note as well. So expressive. Just a stunning nose. The fierce tannins of this have calmed down and it’s an ultra silky and has superb concentration and awesome mid season cherry fruit and some blackberry overtones. Sweet tannins and exceptional length. Air is always this wine’s friend. — a month ago

The 21’s here are masterful. Nose of late season black cherries, late season red cherries, earth, mineral and more. Blueberry and blackberry as well. So deep and expressive. That’s 21! Palate is teeming with energy and juiciness. Sour and red cherries and glorious silky tannins and lovely sweetness. Long and flowy. Needs time but just spectacular. Gorgeously floral nose. Unreal mid season cherries with such lift and clarity. Wow. So clean. Gorgeous spices as well. Palate is juicy and clean. Sappy, pure and clean. Just a great and classic bottle of Liaison. Wispy tannins. Excited to see how this develops. After 24 hours nose is so deep and has great roses and violets. High toned mid season cherry. Really pretty. Terrific spice and only a tiny VA that just adds and does subtract. Palate is juicy and lean. Clean and classic. So linear and clear. Such great mid season cherry fruit. Nimble and not as powerful as recent vintages. — 3 months ago
