Bought at Nicolas rue de Saint Dominique. The most close I am looking for a full-time bodied wine, but not very complex — 7 years ago

Upon recommendation from the wine ship guy, i opened this 2-3 hours before tasting, which was good, except for tge fact that it got too warm. I popped it back in the fridge for 20 minutes and then it was perfect. Very fruit forward and fresh with a nice structure despite its youth (2017 tasted in August 2019). All the guests loved it. — 7 years ago

How about a Sauvignon Blanc from Burgundy? Drinking this feels like someone throws chalk at your face and then sprays you with sea water, followed by some lemon juice and even a tiny bit of gasoline and motor oil, all being dumped on you and you end up loving the whole thing! Definitely up there with the more interesting bottles I've tried. It's like Chablis and Sancerre had a bastard that turned out great in life. — 10 years ago

A second Acker buy. CVed with first 3/25/20. Lighter and medium bodied wine that’s balanced and good pairing for lots of food. Got that stimulating texture of the Southern Rhône blend. Great buy! AA5. Opened 6/6/20 very fresh texture still with the lighter not so complex red berry notes that paired very well with Amah bone soup with highly watered down Kimchee. Relatively simple but still a good pairing wine. 70 Grenache 30 Syrah. — 6 years ago

Slight horse on the nose to begin with, with a shift towards bright fruit, and anise. Great length with well integrated tanins, low acidity and very mellow finish. Good stuff. — 10 years ago
Oily and beautiful. Not brimming with acidity that will shoot to the stars, but it's softer palate feel is welcomed and very pleasant to sip on. — 10 years ago
Yes, Sauvignon Blanc in Burgundy! In fact, the St Bris appellation was previously called 'Sauvignon de Saint-Bris' (before 2003). And you can ONLY use SB or Sauv Gris fruit, + max 12.8% ABV. Love the terroir and plan to show it blind just to mess with my Sancerre obsessed friends. — 11 years ago
Balanced acid and tannin composure. Short finish. High cherry with relation to dark fruits. Excellent everyday Malbec and great price for real Cahors. — 12 years ago

Substantially above a tasting that included more prestigious appellations and more expensive bottles, all in the same region and all in chenin blanc. Best VfM of a very enjoyable tasting. Nice balance and yet a subtle acidity leaving much to hope for latter years. Drink some, keep some. — 6 years ago
