Took awhile to open but once it did this is a pretty decent Cab - nose is full of fruit - blackberries - palate is a little sparkly, slightly underwhelms vs the nose but still solid — 4 months ago
This wine is drinking really well. Nice and juicy but still has nice tannin structure on the finish! — 5 months ago
Wow, was worried that it was past its prime but boy was I wrong. The bold cab flavor, combined with mellow tannins, made this a perfect Sunday pasta pairing. — 8 months ago
A gift from a special brother-in-law enjoyed with our last dinner of 2021. Very dark in the glass releasing smoked mango notes when nosed. A sip suggests cocoa-dusted dark cherries in velvet. It goes down easy but finish is long and lingering warm and pleasant. I really enjoyed this bottle of wine! — 4 years ago

Double decant for sediment(lots of chunky sediment) and pour. A remarkable dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: expressive perfumed notes of cherry, currants, dark olives, worn leather, wet forest floor, smoked meat. Taste: silky, savory, elegant wine with fading dried cherries, tobacco, dark chocolate, bell pepper, earth, and a nice mineral, espresso medium plus finish. YUM! Never disappointed with well aged Bosche or Sycamore wines — 3 months ago

This really leans into the darker aspect of Cab. Dark cassis, loads of dark crushed stone, baker’s chocolate, dark iodiney savory notes. Intense in the mouth, but with surprisingly nice acids for its 14.9 frame. Rich, but bone dry. Still tannic, but it’s soft. — 6 months ago
An amazing Cab. Love the bold, color and aroma. — 10 months ago

St. Supéry – Merlot 2019
Rutherford, Napa Valley, California – USA 🇺🇸
Overview
Made from 100% estate-grown Merlot, this wine comes from St. Supéry’s iconic Rutherford vineyards in the heart of Napa Valley. Known for its iron-rich, alluvial soils, Rutherford imparts the famed “Rutherford Dust” character — a mix of fine tannins and earthy elegance that sets these wines apart.
Aromas & Flavors
On the nose, vibrant red and dark fruits dominate — ripe cherry, plum, and blackberry — accented by hints of violet, graphite, and a dusting of cocoa. The palate is layered with red currant, cassis, and chocolate, alongside savory undertones of sage and tobacco.
Mouthfeel
Medium to full-bodied with velvety tannins and bright acidity. The wine is plush yet structured, with an elegant balance that lingers on a smooth, cocoa-dusted finish.
Winemaking Notes
Estate fruit is hand-harvested, sorted, and fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness, followed by aging in French oak (a combination of new and seasoned barrels). This approach builds texture and depth while allowing the varietal character to shine.
Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with roasted duck, pork tenderloin, mushroom risotto, or herb-crusted lamb chops. A natural companion to semi-hard cheeses like Manchego or aged Gouda.
Verdict
A benchmark Rutherford Merlot, marrying plush fruit with earthy elegance. The 2019 vintage offers depth and refinement, drinking beautifully now yet capable of aging gracefully for another 6–8 years. Cheers! — 3 months ago
