Yep! I got a new cab to rave about! Hope i get to they more from this winemaker. I love the rose too! — 6 years ago
A new entry into the Excellent category and one of the hot newer Barossa wineries. Getting some rave reviews in the overseas press. Langtons tasting in September 2018. — 7 years ago
Tried this as a rave review from LCBO. I concur!!!! Beautiful, smooth, dry, full bodied wine. — 7 years ago
Have seen some rave reviews for this vintage drinking well already. It is but doesn’t suit me as much as others. That’s not to say this isn’t delicious, because it is. Really elegant cherry and red fruit with some tea leave and herbal notes. Very connected through the finish. — 7 years ago
Rave reviews from the Wine Press in Australia. Nose of aromatic Herbs, rocks sour cherries and gravel. Hard to imagine a more minerally soil than on the slopes of Mount Etna - an active volcano. The palate is fresh, clean with savoury cherry and moderate tannins. Totally Slammable! The perfect Pasta wine. Going on a Wine and Food Tour to Sicily in October so will see Etna up close. Cannot wait! — 8 years ago
Kelly liked it, but didn’t rave like the reviews would have indicated. Craig tried it more recently and liked it a great deal. — 4 years ago
Not sure about the decanter rave scores, but this is certainly drinking very nicely — 6 years ago
Didn’t have the rave reaction of some but confirms that it is hard to find a bad wine made in the Dolomites. As some have noted it takes time for some funk to blow off but it is worth the wait. — 7 years ago
This wine has been very impressive each of the 3-4 times I’ve had it. Purchased after seeing a rave on instagram and I’m happy to report that it’s in great shape, with a lovely balance of freshness and complexity. Punches above its weight for sure. Becoming a big Lamy fan! — 7 years ago
Rave reviews from the professionals. On the nose, there is kirsch, deep forest fruits and a note that I have a hard time describing other than "old". there are ripe blackberries and an intense mouthfeel. Despite this, the tannins remain well integrated. Nevertheless, I was expecting more. — 8 years ago
Every time I try this wine, I like it a little more. It just goes with anything, particularly complimentary with gourmet pizza. Sharing it with friends gets rave reviews. — 5 years ago
Delicious! Rave reviews from friends too. — 6 years ago
The Oakville Field Blend is really a fave rave of ours. Sure it’s@a Zin blend but it’s closer to a really smooth cab than a zin. Great notes of leather and spice take the oakiness down a notch. Really on of my favorite wines from my favorite winery. — 7 years ago
I’m certain you could give this wine blind to both an expert and a neophyte and both would rave about it. What’s not to like? The fruit (lemon curd, some stone fruit, green melon, lemon candy) is lively and generous, acid is vibrant, alcohol is in check, and the texture is steely with a soft cloud cover of creaminess from the lees aging. There is plenty of complexity for those seeking it, but it’s undeniably and simply delicious. Absolutely beautiful young, and from what I’m reading from other reviewers, I need to buy some more to hold on to... — 7 years ago
I really do like Merry Edwards' wines, and gift them often (no one has ever not liked the bottle they have received, and usually rave about it), and suggest them as a "beginner" winery to order direct from.
But this one was just kind of flat, bland and unexciting for me. I think I have had that problem with the Flax vineyard before. 14.1 ABV. Not Bad, just kind of blah. 8.8 — 7 years ago
This is hands down, my "go to" Red. I absolutely love it. I recommend it to anyone and everyone that will listen to me rave about it. Try it. You'll love it. If you've never had a Pettit Verdot, you are in for a lovely treat. Its perfect if you are a Pinot Noir fan or enjoy any "chewy" "syrupy" "jam-y" Red. Great with steak, but it's IDEAL all by itself on a late warm night with a dear or new feiend. — 8 years ago

This took some time to open up, but once it did it really sang. All of Greg’s 2018s have gottne rave reviews; based on what I’ve tried so far, well deserved. Has many years of development ahead of it, but is definitely approachable now with ~20min of air. — 4 years ago
