Rave reviews from the Wine Press in Australia. Nose of aromatic Herbs, rocks sour cherries and gravel. Hard to imagine a more minerally soil than on the slopes of Mount Etna - an active volcano. The palate is fresh, clean with savoury cherry and moderate tannins. Totally Slammable! The perfect Pasta wine. Going on a Wine and Food Tour to Sicily in October so will see Etna up close. Cannot wait!

Ripe, but balanced with great drive and length. Typical orange peel and mint flavors with rocky red fruit. This will give the contrada wines a run for their money this vintage.

Solid Nerello Mascalese. I keep hoping this will live up to the 97 pts. AG gave it. 3 more to go.

Nez de fruit rouge d olive noire gourmand mais avec une fraîcheur
Bouche suave mais avec un événement acidité et une tonicité apportée par de beaux tanins👍👍

I don’t think this is yet a 97pt wine (per Vinous) but it’s got the stuffing for greatness. Young. Young. Young. Even after dbl decant, 6 hours slow ox, 1 hour wide decant. Others have called this period the “dumb phase” for this wine. I generally agree. Still a lot of fun. It’s like an energetic, boisterous Italian Pinot.
