Rich cherry and black currant nose. Color is purple with a watery thin edge. In the mouth it is not as sweet as the nose is. There is a rather fresh acidity bringing balance. It will be accompanied by the veal cheeks and mash. Looking forward to that.
As the bottle was opened anyhow to use a glass in the stew we already started tasting 😉. — 3 years ago

Amazing! So good! — 2 months ago
Damn damn damn. If you can get your hands on one of these do it stat. Amazinggggggg. The douro grape is amazing that we had with cacio e pepe. A red when poured that when you look at it you know this is going to take you to another place. When you take that first sip, the taste of freshness. Seriously I could drink this all night — 2 years ago
At the price I consider this to be a good bye. Again not a fine wine but a very strong performing house wine. A little on the peppery side and somewhat thinner than California wines that many people are used to. Other than that a pleasant nose and a pleasant finish. No major complaints. — 5 years ago
Had the privilege of being the first non Quinta Do Vale Meao persons to have a try of this wine. Probably one of the best Portuguese dry reds still with lots of ageing potential. Appreciated that they combine tradition and technology. Complex and elegant despite its youth. — 6 months ago
Unentschieden, eigentlich mag ich Portugal, aber der war zT abweisend tanninig. — 3 years ago

Sour black plums, blueberries, bergamot, wild mint leaves, cocoa, nutmeg, charred hamburger, granite dust, and lithium grease. The acidity is bright enough to cut down the aggressiveness of the tannins. Balanced but displays character throughout the finish. Everything seems to fall in place on the palate. Strong fruit and solid winemaking. — 5 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Blend of 50% Touriga Nacional, 35% Touriga Franca, 10% Tinta Roriz, 4% Tinta Barroca & 1% Alicante Bouschet, aged in used French oak for 14 months, aromas of fresh dark berry flavors with herb, spice and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of blueberry and plum with licorice, cedar, espresso and spicy herbs. Fine ripe tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, cedar, spice and herb character. Nice value! — 22 days ago
