100% Sangiovese. Soft and velvety but oh so expressive! Aromas and flavors of red and black fruits. Complex accents of forest floor, tobacco, dried herbs, black licorice and coffee. The fruit is bold, but it keeps the noteworthy tannins and alcohol in lovely balance. Oaky on the finish but not overpowering. Beautiful wine. Thank You so much, Kase. — 3 years ago
2019 vintage. Albarino from 35 years old vines close to the Umia river on predominantly sandy soils. Fermented in stainless steel and 6 months of ageing on the lees. Bright very pale yellow. Lovely perfume of lemon confit, fresh yellow prunes, with hints of quince and a distinctive minerality. Fresh taste with ripe stone fruit (prunes, peaches), very present but not aggressive acidity and some mineral salinity in the finish. Very dry with less than 1 g/l of residual sugar. Abv. 12,5%. Very good value at less than 15 euros. — 5 years ago
Very interesting nebbiolo. Garnet color, started with low aroma but opened to a complex nose. Black fruit, floral notes, licorice, plums in liquor and the tipical rustic tone that most Italian wines have. Good tannin on the mouth, very nice acidity. Good permanence in mouth. Drank it for more than 2 hours to enjoy it at its fullest. — 6 years ago

Nice refreshing Moscato. Delicious — 9 years ago
After sending back an oxidized, tired 2020 Rossi di Montalcino, the Somm had the waiter bring back this wine at around the same price point. Don’t sleep on #barberadalba from a great producer. Raspberry, plum, dusty dark fruit nose. So vibrant on the palate with lush yet tangy dark red fruit on the entry, gossamer tannins on the finish. Corking it after dinner and after the next day in the wine fridge still as alive. — 10 months ago

Nose is barbera on steroids. That fresh dark cherry blackberry fruit. Some elegant cough syrup. Assaults the nostrils. Just leaps at you. Complex. As this opens on day 2 nose is insane.
Palate is incredibly dense. Fresh wild Blackberry fruit. Wild young cherries. Intense balancing acidity. Almost tart. Silky tanins. A hint of herbals. Really intense. On day 2 more chocolatey. Dark but fresh blackberries. Delicious.
Long finish.
This will be a 9.4 or 9.5 in 2-3 years. I’d drink with a 2 hour decant now.

What a pretty wine. Gorgeous and grapey nose, spice, white pepper, jelly donut filling, and just so clean and vivid. Cesare has the touch. Palate is lush and juicy, with gorgeous fruit and such a subtle way about it. Really fine tannins and such incredible balance and delicacy. Such a sneaky persistent finish. This is so refined. I am blown away. What a wine. — 2 years ago

The nose of apples and peaches continues to the palette. This Chardonnay is clean, crisp and balance and paired great with our meal. — 10 years ago

First bottle was unimpressive but this was a stunner - everything @Lyle Fass wrote about… wish I had a 6 pack of this - although I don’t know this has a particularly long window but it’s fire now — 10 months ago
