Got this wine as a Christmas gift. It’s really lovely and unique. Nose = slate, chalk, terra cotta and ocean air. Body = medium. Some good acidity but not overbearing. Main flavors = cranberry and under ripened pineapple. Some sweetness mid palate with a pleasant dry finish. — 4 months ago

Really a mind expanding wine. Would never have guessed Aglianico or 2008 or 15%. Quite herby and earthy but with some core of fruit too - long finish with good acid. Lovely mouthfeel as well. And a great pairing with Marcella Hazan’s long cooked bolognese. — 6 months ago

Deep, dark colour, brownish rim.
Notes of black cherry, smoked ham, summer asphalt, cedar and potpourri.

This wine grew on me over time and was better day 2. A more contemplative fiano- the texture demands it almost. Tons of minerality and almost absurdly dry in character. 14.5% on the bottle but didn’t feel it. — 5 months ago

Nose: subtly complex. Hard to pick out the components. Nice.

Palate: slightly crunchy minerals. Smoot rocks. Perfect lemon. Lemon flower internal aromatics.

Three glasses that are a humble reminder that the drinker plays a role. Glass 1 is heavily aerated and I had a bite of spinach 2-3 bites ago, shows thin, harsh tannins and is borderline undrinkable. Glass 2 is not aerated, shows toasty wood, dark fruit, cassis, like a modern super-campanian well made but without too much tipicity. Glass 3 finally reveals some Aglianico character: muscular, herbal, earthy with the slightest touch of barnyard brett and a mint-tarragon finish signaling ripe pyrozines. Tannins are slightly more approachable now, best of the three. Short-lived bottle and still not a fan of the cab elements, but undeniably well made — 5 months ago
