This is the 2920 Southern Right Walker Bay Sauvignon Blanc. Hamilton Russell Vineyards, Hemel-En-Aarde Valley, Hermanus Cape of Good Hope, South Africa.
On the nose there is beautiful fruit of grapefruit, lime, white peach, honeydew melon, herbaceous notes and minerality.
On the palate there are clean notes of lime, grapefruit, honeydew melon, white peach, cut grass, herbaceous and minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with a racy mouthfeel medium + acidity that pushes through with a long grapefruit musky minerality finish. As another weekend is upon us and we brace ourselves for the coming Christmas week full of love, family and friends. Please have a great weekend and enjoy some nicw wines. Stay safe and healthy. Beautifully aged Pinotage. Only 15 barrels made. Aromas and flavors of strawberries, blackberries, violets, leather, tobacco and cedar. Hint of minerality and vanilla on the very long finish. Quite savory (rather than fruit forward) and plush. Still bright, alive and nicely balanced. If tasting blind, I would have called this one a lighter bodied Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot! Very pleasant surprise. Thank You Ron B! — 4 months ago
Från en mycket högt belägen vingård i Hemel-en-Arde. Svalodlad karaktär. Frisk, Medelfyllig med lyxig textur och snärtig frukt. Gröna äpplen, ananas, blommor, hasselnöt och elektriskt avslut. Lagringsduglig. — 2 years ago
A pristine Pinot Noir with great varietal character, incisive acidity, precisely defined flavors and impeccable balance.
Red cherry, red plum, red currant, black tea, violet, forest floor, dried orange peel. Low velvet tannins and a very long finish. Wonderful. — 2 months ago
