Pretty deep ruby , quite narrow still ruby /garnet rim . Quite masculine , slightly high toned , grafite , cassis nose , blackberry, tobacco . Cool blackcurrant , mineral , quite strict acidity and gritty tannins. Good length , quite foursquare , grafite finish . From now , though will improve over the next 5-10 and hold possibly a further 5-10 — 5 months ago
Very yummy!! Dry, but fruity. The owner was very friendly and chatted with us about the wine making process. The winery was beautiful and off the beaten path! — 10 months ago

This is the Croix Richard Dinner vineyard/Sonoma. Not a big fan, super oaky — 3 months ago

Boxing day treat with the wife. Pretty much the quintessential "claret." Maybe slightly faded now and on a slow path away from excellent but still lots to enjoy and i love drinking a wine with some history! Had the Lafite from the same vintage and that was slightly more my taste. Paired amazing with roast pheasant. — 4 months ago
Pretty deep ruby narrow ruby /garnet rim . Quite austere at first , dark dusty mineral tinged , grafite, charcoal , touch of oak spice . On the palate quite austere , mineral and grafite tinged dark fruits . Good balancing acidity , quite grippy tannins . Long finish . Young still needs time . Well balanced and refreshing . — 9 months ago

Excellent see previous notes. Franken! No one knows they make Pinot. Franconia. Excellent really. Mellowed out all the way. Orange juice. Cherry undertones. Stunning. Fantastic winery but boy is this off the beaten path. Visited once. They mostly make Silvaner. So this is the oddball. — 10 days ago
