Solid wine. Will stand up to fish and meat. Nuts and slight sweet favour. Went brilliantly with scallops — a year ago
Cool black fruits, black cherry, boysenberry. Refreshing. Gentle tannins under the palate. Nice acid lift. Drank w a slight chill. — 4 years ago
Quality Blau with a bit of age seems a life hack for a northern Rhone jones. — 7 years ago
Juicy, peppery. Let breathe for a bit before drinking. — 2 years ago
First time I have a non “sweet wine” tokaj. It was definitely much less sweet, but still had a hint of thicker “syrup” like mouth feel that sweet wines have — 3 years ago
S had at Kismet, dry, mineral, she liked a lot — 6 years ago
A hint of cellar mustiness but it quickly blows off after the wine gets some air in the glass. Lots of spices, pepper, wet earth, lovage and some red fruit (Blind I definitely voted for a Cab Franc). Tense acidity, tannins are totally integrated. This Blaufränkisch has lots of edges, its not a flatterer. Good length. Although the acidity is still very present I think its time to drink it up. — 7 years ago
