Moric
Necken Markter Blaufränkisch
A hint of cellar mustiness but it quickly blows off after the wine gets some air in the glass. Lots of spices, pepper, wet earth, lovage and some red fruit (Blind I definitely voted for a Cab Franc). Tense acidity, tannins are totally integrated. This Blaufränkisch has lots of edges, its not a flatterer. Good length. Although the acidity is still very present I think its time to drink it up.

Mar 17th, 2017Unlike any other Blaufränkisch, but quite like excellent, old-vine cru beaujolais. Despite the natural and hands-off credo, a case of style trumping terroir?
