Stunning ethereal aromatics right out of the gates. Divine cherry of the gods. Intermingled with spice. So much minerality of the stoney kind. Just ethereal and elite aromas. Airy and gorgeous. 9.5 on the aromas. Terrific, balanced and textured wine with the most low key concentration ever. Cherries are all early season and even some sour cherry. Tangy. Amazing mouthfeel. What a nose as this opens up. So juicy. Like mega juicy with such awesome purity. Firm tannins and a very long and pure finish. Really gets to all areas of the palate. As it airs I’ll be back. As classic as it gets but also has a wonderful polish to it. — 6 years ago

2008 mega legit. — 7 years ago
This is the mocha Frappuccino of wine! So sweet with a mocha finish.
At first, this is quite nice but the sweetness is cloying. Feels very manufactured. Left me avec headache the next day.
I’m willing to bet this has a hefty dose of Mega Purple. Some claim that MP has a “distinctive” taste. I bet this would be a 97 point example of that.
Sorry @Rob Brobst III - not my thing. @David T would love your thoughts on this one! — 8 years ago

Paul T, Missing My Beautiful Wife 24/7
Crowd & wife pleaser. Not a take to dinner wine. No info on what Vineyards these grapes come from on their website, but bought a case knowing that in advance. $25.00 average was worth it,

Better off getting Michael David Earthquake Cabernet at half the price of the going retail of Austin Hope, more complexity without losing the pop & pour crowd pleaser effect, please do not spend $40-$ 50.00 for Austin Hope. It just encourages them to make more wines like this at a crazy profit margin.
Hat der sich entwickelt. Mega!

This is a specialty here and wow this is really something. Such a glorious and nuanced nose of spice, tree bark, glorious dark black cherries, spicey oak and wonderful violets. It’s super clean, nuanced and multilayered. Great. Palate is fresh, energetic and has superb purity and freshness. Tangy red cherries on the palate, a bit of oak and as always this needs mega air but it’s all there as it always is. Huge structure on this. Elegant and so bright. Awesome length. Needs 5 years.
Day 2 update : 9.4 to 9.6 overnight. Palate is so fresh and energetic. Unreal freshness and purity. Beautiful sweet, silky and cherry fruit. Long, tangy and fresh. Haunting and deep. Wow. Amazing on day 2. — 4 years ago
The nose on this is gorgeous. Like sticking my nose deep in a basket of fresh flowers. The wine is soft and juicy. Highlight from raw wine fair. When can get this, it will for sure be mega value. — 9 years ago
Dieser Wein ist sowas von Mega! Blaufränkisch at it's best! Er vibriert, hat Trinkfluss, Tiefe, Länge, Frucht, geniale Tannine, Mineralität, ist spannend und filigran. Das geht fast nicht besser, nur anders. Unbedingt probieren!!! — 9 years ago
Good Zinfandel, smooth, strong but not to much, at the end a bit spice - good one!
Great price performance ratio and a gorgeous label design — 10 years ago
High tone nose with a touch of va/ acetone. Translucent and almost no sediment in the bottle.. really old school a la Bel Air-Marquis D’Aligre. Palate is electric, very classically structured and fresh as a daisy. Nose takes a day to start showing floral and fruit notes and classic st Julien character. Very good, almost great; the aromatics never really soar. Bought at the domaine; Jaugaret is an organic and small production family winery (surrounded by mega châteaux). — 5 years ago
Super sparkling super dry, mega classic. — 5 years ago
Excellent Malbec, probably the best I've ever had. Intense red fruit and good acid. — 7 years ago
After trying the Painted Rock Cab Franc, had to try another wine from the vineyard and naturally gravitated to the Syrah. Smells musky, herbaceous with mega spice. Taste; right off the bat, heavy, dominant peppery spice with mild cloves and black liquorice. At the beginning there is some dark cherry and stewed plums that is short lived. The spice dominates all phases of the wine. Finish ends somewhat abruptly. Required about 30-45 min to fully develop. I still prefer the Laughing Stock Syrah but this is right up there. Overall, great wine! — 8 years ago

Loved this Super Tuscan Red Blend. 70% Cabernet and 30% Sangiovese. Licorice, cassis and cherry with a nice finish. — 9 years ago

2019 vintage. This Rhône vintage is a stone-cold killer. Mega-value/QPR. Lip-smacking with blackberry driving the bus. Only quibble is a lack of spice/tannins but this is so delicious for the price that it’s irrelevant. Best affordable CDP I’ve ever had. Roughly half the price of many standard CDP’s. Probably best in the next 5-7 years tho. Lacks the structure to go the distance. — 4 years ago
