I bought this for 40 dollars in Paris in 2004. It has survived 2 cross country moves since then. I was worried it would be dead or over the hill. The cork was crumbly. But the wine was incredibly wonderful. I have been meaning to drink this for 10 years but kept delaying. Still lots of primary fruits along with the forest and other 2ndary flavors. This is why Burgundy can be so entoxicating to people. It so often disappoints, but not this time. Too bad wines like this are now so far beyond my means or desire to pay. — 7 months ago

Light garnet dress, nice shine. Superb fine nose: strawberry, raspberry, pepper, sweet spices, aerial and floral shades with character. Nose that pinote. Structured and light mouth, medium + acidity, absolutely ready to drink. Semi-light body, paradoxical with chew, and delicate tannins. Endelived, charming, discreetly long finish between raspberry, pepper, spices and blood orange (?) A fine price/pleasure ratio to have in the cellar, in the light-bodied category.

Robe grenat légère, bel éclat. Nez superbe, fraise, framboise, poivre, épices douces, nuances aériennes et florales avec du caractère. Nez qui pinote. Bouche structurée et légère, acidité moyen +, absolument prêt à boire. Corps demi-léger, paradoxal avec de la matière, et des tanins délicats. Finale friande, charmeuse, discrètement longue entre framboise, poivre, épices et orange sanguine (?) Un fin rapport prix/plaisir à avoir en cave, dans la catégorie light-bodied. — 4 years ago

Pretty light red, fruity, peppery, and well stretched on freshness and minerality. A discreet breeding tip brings a certain refinement while remaining very greedy. Can age.

Simple, light, but full of charm. Clear purple dress, beautiful shine. Nose typical of the cabernets-francs de Loire. Raspberry, geranium, violet, blackwood, green pepper (but not too much). The mouth is fresh and tense, with a beautiful mineral weft reminiscent of rifle stone, slate or chalk. Served at 15 degrees, it’s a nice treat.

Saumur simple, léger, mais plein de charme. Robe pourpre limpide, bel éclat. Nez typique des cabernets-francs de Loire. Framboise, géranium, violette, bois de ronce, poivron vert (mais pas trop). La bouche est fraîche et tendue, avec une belle trame minérale évoquant la pierre à fusil, ardoise ou craie. Servi à 15 degrés c’est une belle gourmandise. — 5 years ago

Fluid cherry-ruby dress. Nose: red fruits, spices, vegetable. Smooth mouth, light, flexible body. Notes of Pinot Noir and Gamay well restored, assembled in harmony in an accessible and complex bouquet with many shades: cherry, cloves, pepper, strawberry, blackberry, rose, violets. Pretty vegetable notes, almost menthol, dry herbs, hay. Tertiary notes slightly smoked/vanilla, suggesting a possibility of Burgundian evolution. Very nice work at a correct price.

Robe cerise-rubis fluide. Nez fruits rouges, épices, végétal. Bouche lisse, corps léger, souple. Notes de Pinot Noir et Gamay bien restituées, assemblées avec harmonie au sein d’un bouquet accessibles et complexe aux nombreuses nuances: cerise, clou de girofle, poivre, fraise, mûre, rose, violettes. De jolies notes végétales, presque mentholées, herbes sèches, foin. Des notes tertiaires légèrement fumées/vanillées, laissant entrevoir une possibilité d’évolution à la bourguignonne. Beautiful, brilliant light ruby ​​red color. The first nose is intensely on aromas of small red fruits. On the palate, it is delicately fleshy, structured, muscular and elegant. A natural wine, with a real dense chew of fresh and juicy fruit. Open 30 minutes before tasting. The tannins are soft but persistent. To drink in 2/3 years.

Belle robe brillante rouge rubis léger. Le premier nez est intensément sur des arômes de petits fruits rouges. En bouche c’est délicatement charnu, structuré, musclé et élégant. Un vin nature, avec une vraie mâche dense de fruits frais et juteux. À ouvrir 30 minutes avant dégustation. Les tanins sont doux mais persistants. Bright light purple dress. Pure explosive nose on fruits (red and black) and flowers, typical of carbonic maceration. In mouth the first is light, airy, confirming the nose; carried by a beautiful necessary freshness balancing the little terroir extraction. A modern, "natural" wine, on the fruits at first fond that does not prevent a certain complexity from expressing itself on a peppery and mineral finish. A very beautiful juice to drink from the aperitif, which blindly could pass for a rosé.

Robe légère violine éclatante. Nez pure explosifs sur les fruits (rouge et noirs) et fleurs, typique des vins en macération carbonique. En bouche l’abord est léger, aérien, confirmant le nez; porté par une belle fraîcheur nécessaire équilibrant le peu de terroir extrait. Un vin moderne, “nature”, sur les fruits á l’abord friand n’empêchant pas une certaine complexité de s’exprimer sur une finale poivrée et minérale. Un très beau jus à boire des l’apéro, qui à l’aveugle c’est pourrait passer pour un rosé. — 4 years ago

A winegrower that I have been following with passion for several years: Explosive bouquet of fruits and flowers, enhanced with cinnamon notes. A "natural" Beaujolais Gamay, light and crunchy in the first hours after opening. Then the wine unfolds and unfolds again. After 12 hours, the wine is round. The acidity is lively and the tannins are both tight and opulent. It is delicate and full. Wonderful on a home-made marguerita pizza (with arugula).

Un vigneron que je suis depuis quelques années avec passion. Bouquet explosif de fruits et de fleurs, rehaussé de notes cannelées. Un gamay « nature » du Beaujolais, léger et croquant au premières heures après l’ouverture. Puis le vin se déploie et se déploie encore. Après 12h on a un vin rond, ample, l’acidité est vive et les tanins sont à la fois serrés et opulents. C’est fin délicat et ample. Magnifique sur une pizza marguerita home-made (avec de la roquette). — 5 years ago
