2015 base. Big, rich, but well balanced. Surprising amount of stuffing for the price and quite well made. Acid is there to balance the richness. Faded a bit after I put it aside - def need to put it away early! — 6 years ago
Deep ruby, heavy bodied - nose opens up to strawberry, spice and bubblegum. Mouth feel: blackcurrant, black pepper, liquorice, vanilla. medium acidity, well integrated tannins… very smooth to drink! — 8 months ago
Girls BBQ - vintage, complex, dark amber, not dry — 9 months ago
🚨WINE HACK🚨 If you 1) own a sodastream, but no expensive wine gadgets 2) have a wine which needs to come off sediment but you don’t want to expose to oxygen [eg low/no so2 gamay], try decanting the wine carefully into a clean empty bottle pre-flooded with a few gentle pumps of co2 from your sodastream. Co2 is heavier than air. This works and I swear by it!
The Foillard was beautiful. Licorice, black raspberries, purity and poise that reminds me why I fell in love with Beaujolais in the first place, and affirms what has been an oft-times rocky love affair ever since. — 4 years ago
Wow. One of the most interesting Sangiovese that I have had. Nice under carbonic that brings out notes of rhubarb tart. Great with grilled vegetables in the summer. — 6 years ago
Nice spice on nose.
Good tangy tart acidity. — 9 months ago

Got last 2 bottles @ Costco for $13 each on 11/11/19 during a snow storm and 8 degree COLD night. Have had at Stroner’s and love! — 6 years ago
Is that an Erlenmeyer flask you used to double aerate that before a 12 hour decant? Yep. Cheap on Amazon and super functional. Love it! Oh yea, the wine is gorgeous. Nose is perfume, flowers, blackberry and the tiniest bit of forest floor, nice touch. Full mouthfeel. Coats the tongue and puckers the mouth with consistent tannins throughout. Dark fruit and cherries. Complex, layered. Fun wine to drink. — 6 years ago
