Vibrant ruby . Nice red cherry edged , hedgerow fruit, nice ripeness , inviting . Red cherry , mineral , lovely acidity , ripe tannin. Very impressive length. Very nicely judged village Pommard. Young still but gives a lot of enjoyment at the moment . — 5 years ago
Found this in the odd lots bin at Kadota's Liquor near my old high school in Hilo, Hawaii a few days ago. Freaking delicious! Earthy, cherries, but very high toned for a SB Pinot of this era. Wish I still had some of this in my cellar. Justin was killing it from Day 1. — 6 years ago
Mmmm...fantastic wine from Justin at Saxum. Was going to open a 2005 or 2006, but the ‘08s appear to be evolving more rapidly than a lot of the adjacent vintages. Great primary aromas of blackberries and other dark fruits. Doesn’t have some of the roasted meat/iodine aromatics I expect from Paso syrahs, but ‘08 might have been a much warmer vintage than is typical. Has a great evolution on the palate and a great finish. Fantastic. — 6 years ago
Great chardonnay that was a gift. Full body with a dry but mellow finish. — 7 years ago
Drank this w/Justin Smith in the new caves at Saxum. Gracious dude....wow, don't see how the 07 could have been much better — 8 years ago

2010 Vintage. 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Syrah, 24% Grenache, 10% Tannat. Yum. — 6 years ago
Very juicy red fruit. Incredible bouquet. — 6 years ago
Strawberries, blood orange rind, watermelon, satsuma mandarins, iron, smoke. Snapping acidity, light bodied, juicy texture, tangy-salty-slightly off dry yet crisp finish. Highly aromatic, at times savory, at times smoky, fruit persists through. Unique, interesting and uncommonly delicious. — 7 years ago
2004 vintage. From Jay. 2004 Bartolo Mascarello - Brief Note from Galloni Historical Retrospective Held in London April 26, 2016. Dark ruby colour. Fresh violets on the nose together with cherries. A little tobacco wrapper. Cracked cloves. Nice fruit on the pallet and very silky. This is both elegant and old school in all the right ways. 92+/100. Drink 2017 to 2028+ — 8 years ago
This wine and is top notch. Put it in the cellar for 10+ years. A bit chalky still. — 9 years ago
Raspberry and chocolate. Delicious mouthfeel. Incredible and delicious. The 2009 is amazing! One of the best bottles I've ever had.

Love the label. Love this! There is a Meyer lemon peel, verbena, lightly toasted pine nut in the nose and the flavors in the mouth mirror those. While it is mouth watering, it’s also rich. Vintages: 2013/2014. Disgorged 1/26/2018 TBL — 5 years ago
