Lean,.....but that means it still bigger than most wines. Saxum's are beastly! Cold year produced a wine not up to my standards for Saxum but was happy to consume it anyways. From thawed frozen bottle.

Rich, ripe and en fuego! Just released. Needs time to settle.

Coffee and vanilla on the nose, primary and red fruited. Loads of vanilla and caramel on the palette. Good approach, with textured mid palette, finishing soft.

In a good place... Paired perfectly with Lamb Sirloin and truffle risotto. Keeps getting better with air. Nice acidity.

Fresh, good acidity, some spice and oak on the finish. Some tannin grip as well but plush texture and accessible.

78% syrah and 18% mourvedre (no grenache). This has similarities to the K syrah that I like but maybe a little more tannic and bitter. Enjoyable. 96 points RP, $119.99. Pretty gigantic alcohol, 15.6%.
