One of my favorite domestic SBs (I gravitate toward New Zealand SBs) with nice minerality and tropical fruit galore. Some pear there too. Yum. Love this one really cold. — 9 months ago
2012 Vintage. 39% Mourvèdre, 35% Syrah, 26% Grenache. 15.9% Alcohol. After Saturday’s First Tracks, has to pull another Law. The Sagacious is a completely different animal than First Tracks and we loved this just as much with Mourvèdre funk leading the flavor and bouquet. — 4 years ago

Good Viognier, if you like Viognier. — 7 months ago
Muted nose, rustic style, earth and spice. This wine should be paired with flannel and a fire. I’m never going camping (again), but if I were I would bring this wine.
2016 Justin Girdarn Pommard. 100% Pinot Noir. Pommard comes from three sites, “Les Vignots, “Les Cras,” and “Les Cote.” Côte de Beaune.

Always good at our local haunts. Smooth, slight Meyer lemon taste. — 5 years ago
Found this in the odd lots bin at Kadota's Liquor near my old high school in Hilo, Hawaii a few days ago. Freaking delicious! Earthy, cherries, but very high toned for a SB Pinot of this era. Wish I still had some of this in my cellar. Justin was killing it from Day 1. — 6 years ago
Mmmm...fantastic wine from Justin at Saxum. Was going to open a 2005 or 2006, but the ‘08s appear to be evolving more rapidly than a lot of the adjacent vintages. Great primary aromas of blackberries and other dark fruits. Doesn’t have some of the roasted meat/iodine aromatics I expect from Paso syrahs, but ‘08 might have been a much warmer vintage than is typical. Has a great evolution on the palate and a great finish. Fantastic. — 6 years ago
