Blend of Tempranillo (70 %) and Juan García (30%) from vineyards in Fermoselle, in the little-known Arribes del Duero appellation. Fresh, crunchy red fruit. Medium-bodied, easy to drink — 3 years ago
Fruity with a nice mild sweetness — 4 years ago
Impressive first vintage of Jirón de Niebla by Rico Nuevo, a new exciting project in Gredos by Juan Andrés Martín and winemaker Julio Prieto of Viña Zorzal. 100% Garnacha from the cool north-facing site El Sotillo, in the village of Burgohondo (Cebreros appellation). Quite aromatic. Beautiful red fruit, floral notes and Mediterranean herbs. Fresh, mineral, great acidity. — 5 years ago
Enjoyed this white blend quite a bit! The aromas from the Sauv Blanc made my mouth water! Flavors of grapefruit, pear and minerals. — 2 years ago
Mid body and mid acidity. Fruity with a balanced earthy backbone. Interesting variety with special character. Nice surprise. — 3 years ago
Juan Antonio Ponce stands alone as the leader of the Manchuela DO and the master of the region’s indigenous Bobal grape. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, spice and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with some floral spice, cacao and earthy accents. Medium+ finish, fine grainy tannins, ending with fruit and mineral tang. Nice value! — 5 years ago

Such rustic and funky wine! Love it. Pale color, forest floor, red fruits, and foxy. Good acidity and saline taste, medium length. Decant it at least an hour. — 3 years ago
From Castilla Y Leon, & at 14.5% abv, not something that typically attracts me. But the importer Pastor brings in great sherries, so down the rabbit hole I went. Glad I went. Pours an inky black, with integrated blackberries & cassis on nose & on palate. Fills up the mouth but in balance- like Juan Gil, does not drink big or taste out of balance. If anything, tastes more like a black fruited Chinon, especially with a fine graininess to its texture. Had with harissa chicken & quinoa. — 4 years ago
