Smells tight! But oh so promising. Nose is herbal, spicey and has some early season cherry skins. A hint of early season cherry flesh but this will need many hours to unwind. Some breadth develops with air and the cherries become more clear. Palate is tight but my goodness it is all there. So linear, focused and delineated. Amazing sappines and such finesse. So juicy and fresh. Still a zygote but this will develop over next few days and hours. So brilliant and only showing 10% of what it is. I will be back. Wow now with air it’s soaring. Herbal, spicey, mineral and mid season cherries. So brilliant. Palate is so nimble, pure, sappy and fresh. Crunchy, red-fruited and with elegant dusty tannins. Bright bing cherry on the nose now. Soaring. So fresh and energetic. Still needs mega air after 3 hours for fruit to became more defined.
After a day this is crazy good. Nose is white chocolate and cherries. So detailed. Herbal and mineral. Palate is silly, rich and energetic. Sappy and so dense yet all silk. — 2 years ago
Bright garnet color. Aromas of dark cherry, mushroom, tomato skin with a touch of barnyard funk. Pallet is full of ripe red fruit (cherry, cranberry , raspberry & plum) with notes of mushrooms, baking spices and minerals. A bit of smoke on the finish. Silky tannins. Medium bodied and bright. — 3 years ago
Elegant and sophisticated and just reserved enough to keep you totally occupied and interested. @Lyle Fass Fantastic! — 4 years ago
Refreshing acid balances off dry wine (not sure if this is exactly the one I am drinking as j haven’t seen the bottle). This kabinett is not totally dry. Great slate, waterfall aroma and lovely honeyed apricot. — 3 years ago
Great autumn wine. Med body, nice texture, long slightly spicy finish — 3 years ago
Semi dry, not a huge amount of character and a little dry to drink on its own. Well be good with food — 3 years ago

It seems to me that if you blended Weiss Burgunder and Grau Bergunder it would be similar to this.
Natural-esque - on the edge for my tolerance to natty-ness; earthy, mushroom, wet wood. 6 years might have been a wee long to wait. — 2 years ago
Always so good. Opulent and incisive. Deep nose. Lots of amplitude. Huge limestone. Herbal. So complex. German Chardonnay is so awesome. What a palate. Huge core of apple and pear fruit and stacked with minerals and a malo sweetness. So long and nimble. Gorgeous wine. Almost 9.5. — 3 years ago
Dark ruby with some purple.
Dark fruit aromas
Surprising body for a German Pinot.

Has everything you’d want in a geeky Cote Rotie but something special and unique that’s hard to place. Lovely wine @Lyle Fass — 4 years ago
Really nice and super dry. — 5 years ago

Lovely red fruits and very gentle, lipstick like intensity, juicy and so clean, textured and velvety wispy tannins.
