Very interesting and delicious showing how far one can push and still have freshness even with a fairly oxidative style. Cool. — 12 years ago

Medium lemon colour. On the nose this is quite mineral and expressive at first , taught lemon peel and some oyster shell , touch herbal , orange . With time this becomes more fruit driven , with lots of ripe citrus . Quite rich and ample on the palate with lemon richness and some grapefruit , with a touch of butter , just a touch of chalk dust to balance , creamy mouthfeel. Balanced but not particularly fresh acidity . Good length , quite rounded and generous in style . Still quite young but drinking well from now and over the next 5 or so years . — 5 months ago

Creamy texture, plenty of fine bubbles, some funk on the nose, rich overall feling — a year ago
D: 03/13. Knock your socks off stuff; deep golden brown; Pinot Noir tangy ness rounded into almost cane sugar. Contemplative wine - so interesting to try first time and it be fairly aged. — 5 years ago

Acidity and cut, but also sneaky depth and baked, spiced apple complexity. As always, one of my favorite producers in the world — 7 years ago
Beautiful deep color, very spicey black cherry nose , palate is well balanced with oak, fruit and acidity. This rich wine is showing well and no sign of fading at 18 years of age . Purchased on release and cellared at 52" — 10 years ago
